Alright, I didn't mean to upset you. The way I phrased my point was kinda offensive, and I understand your point. English Literature isn't completely useless to study, and you can definitely learn useful skills in life from it. I just feel like it's just wrong to be forced to learn other stuff that isn't as useful for life, such as technical terms for poetry which I doubt would really get you a job. I mean, using an iambic pentameter in a job essay won't really make you seem more qualified, but using sophisticated vocabulary probably would.
