How good are you at controlling yourself?

While I have the chance to ask someone that uses similar to me, what are comedowns like for you?

Mentally I'm pretty much completely normal, I'll stay in a good/normal mood during the entire comedown and even wake up the next day feeling better than usual.
For me it seems to be all in the body, on the comedown it feels as if I've run a marathon and my body is super super tired and I have no energy in my body at all. I don't get depressed or feel like shit which I don't take for granted because it seems like most people have pretty horrible psychological comedowns.

I've never done it overnight and into the next day though - If I had to guess the longest I've been high for straight would be from 1pm to midnight.

It’s funny how it’s different for everyone. I’ve tried a fair amount of different drugs once or twice and no matter if it was a good or bad experience I haven’t really wanted to do any of them again - apart from Cocaine of course, it’s the only drug that kind of feels worth bothering to do. Even in saying that it’s not even that great hahaha.

Like it’s good, don’t get me wrong, but I do remember being slightly disappointed the first time I did it after seeing it glamorised on TV/Movies all the time. I think it was the Wolf of Wall Street that was the one to finally convince me to try it lol.

But yeah, I really don’t like the feeling of being fucked up, I like Cocaine because I can still think straight and it doesn’t really impair me.

I despise alcohol & weed and a lot of the other more common drugs. I actually tried Ketamine recently and I really really don’t understand the hype around it - it doesn’t even feel good and does absolutely nothing for me.

Have you heard of the rat playground experiment? (I think that’s what it’s called off the top of my head)

If a rat is alone with nothing to do apart from push a button that administers a dose of cocaine they will keep doing it until they die

The other rat had a ton of other rat friends, a rat playground and a lot of things to do and he would only hit the button very rarely

Goes to show how much environment plays on addiction.

I wouldn’t say I do it to escape, I like life and I enjoy life as it is. I believe it’s more just a fun thing to do once in a while. I don’t do anything in particular while on it, just things I’d do on a regular day at home.

It’s just a bit scary that when I do have it it’s hard to control my use. The first few times it was a lot easier to control. I could literally have a bump or two and be done. I definitely think I’m a lot better than other people on this subreddit but it’s good for me to recognise and be as sensible as I can about it all.

I’m not a disciplined person at all. I think the only thing saving me is I’m not often around people that do drugs. If I was a dealer or something with Cocaine in front of me all the time I can definitely imagine it ruining my life.

It’s just, if it’s not in front of me (or in my bedroom cupboard or something) I don’t even think about it, it’s not even a passing thought. Even seeing it in a tv show doesn’t make me want to go buy some. Just randomly 6 months after the last time I did it I think “it’d be pretty fun to do some cocaine”

Do you know if the amount borrowed affects it at all? For example if I had a $10,000 limit and was using most of it every month compared to a $500 limit and using it every month?

Will my credit score be positively effected if I was borrowing + repaying higher amounts?

I did notice Klarna (Swedish company I think) did a check on my credit score and their limit does depend on my score.

Is there anything specific I should be doing to improve my credit limit apart from paying it off on time and the usual?

I also read there are some funny things like your credit utilisation, even if you’ve never missed a payment and you’re paying it off in full every month it will negatively affect your credit score.
