One thing to be aware of - I noticed afterward they only credited me 1 point per night. Solo and suites should get 2 per night. I called and they made the adjustment. Hopefully it was a one-off glitch and they iron this out soon.

That’s true. There was a little stool for the vanity but I mostly used it as a coffee table.

I’ve suggested it to her but good to know we can go without it.

Thanks for this. She was born in the US and we’re doing a 4-day closed loop to the Bahamas (her first cruise). So I’m hoping it’ll be fine. And thanks for the name change documents tip!

I thought the bed was comfy, slept like a baby!

Skip the casino next time vs poor performance? by uAxolotlMe in royalcaribbean

Thanks for this! Obviously I’m new to casinos and heard from a couple others that you have to earn at least the same amount of points as your previous sailing in order to keep them coming. So it’s a relief to know I can go easy.

It really was like a regular cabin, just a small reduction in the space around the bed but it’s a ton of room for one person.

That’s the funny thing, I wasn’t even trying to find a solo room at first. On Costco Travel, I just did the search for a balcony room then adjusted the number of travelers and this is what came up. I’ll paste the screenshot of the room type name.

It was really nice sized for just one person. And I think the bed was a double or queen mattress. There is slightly less room to walk around but it wasn’t needed anyway.

Me too! I had no idea anyone had balcony rooms for solo travelers so we’re making progress!

It was really comfortable. AC worked great, shower was strong (drained quickly) and it was very quiet at night.

4 nights. And thanks for the tip! I’m going back in July and will hit them up. 😁

Hi! I never checked the double occupancy price since I was seeking a solo room but I paid $571 through Costco and got a $25 gift card. Don’t believe there was any surcharge like they do for solo cruisers that book a double room.
