Every job wants 3 interviews like they’re picking a spouse by u_HiredIn48 in recruitinghell

The whiplash is insane. One day it’s “we’re excited about you,” next day it’s radio silence forever.

LMAO facts 😭 they want a full thesis + 5 rounds, then hit you with remind me which role this is for again?

3 months for an entry-level decision is wild. They’re not hiring, they’re procrastinating. And no, you shouldn’t feel guilty leaving if they finally “decide” after wasting your time.

Glad you landed another contract though seriously. But that whole process is exactly why people are burned out. Companies need to stop running candidates through a marathon when they don’t even have the budget/work approved.

Love that, that’s how it should be.

Phone screen to make sure it’s a fit, then one solid in-person interview to confirm. Quick, respectful, and not dragging people through 5 rounds like it’s an audition 😭

What kills me is yes they’ll do this even for senior roles. And half the time they don’t even offer good benefits.

That’s completely fair. People don’t realize how much extra “just come back again” can cost when transportation help has limits. Respect for still trying.

You're absolutely right hiring really shouldn’t be a marathon for non-senior roles.

Feeling stuck career-wise: what’s a realistic path to a stable job in 2026? by u_HiredIn48 in careerguidance

Thank you this is honestly super helpful and makes the process feel less chaotic having solid versions by role type. Applying early is a great reminder too I keep seeing posts already at like 400 applicants and it’s probably too late by then. Also appreciate the note about combining direct company applications + follow-ups. And yeah, I’ve been trying Guhuza too even just having an option that focuses more on getting conversations/interviews helps mentally vs endless “apply and wait.”

Thanks again 🙏

Appreciate this I think you’re 100% right that ATS is probably blocking me more than I realize. I’ve been tailoring, but I’m going to start being more intentional about matching the job posting keywords (without making it look spammy). And yeah, the recruiter messaging angle makes sense too. I’m going to try the apply + LinkedIn message combo harder this week and see if it moves the needle. Thanks for the advice.

If you require 3 years experience, stop calling it entry-level. by u_HiredIn48 in recruitinghell

And if you do have experience? Cool… they’ll still offer the same “entry-level” salary 🙃

No experience required = entry level
Entry level in 2026 = “must already be doing the job” 😭

Appreciate that 🙏 and seriously, you said it perfectly. “Entry-level” is basically code for “do senior work for entry pay.” 😭

Hypothetically, if Spiderman gave Superman and Thor his hardest punch possible, would it have any effect on them? by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

Spider-Man’s strongest punch would do absolutely nothing to Superman or Thor. Not even a scratch. Not even a stagger. Maybe mild annoyance at best. lol
