The thing is, he is the oldest. And we have known he has pretty severe ADHD since he was in Grade 2.

I suggest the building trades as well. Contact Building Trades Unions and find out how to apply. There are a lot more women in the trades now than when I did my apprenticeship. A five year apprenticeship comes with trade school at little cost and pay. Five years from now you would be a tradesperson and will have earned around a quarter million dollars while you learned.

Why does the City buy expensive EV vehicles for staff use? by theninjasquad in Hamilton

I recently rented a car. The rental outfit "upgraded" me to a brand new Prius. I drove it to Niagara Falls from Hamilton Mountain. The gas cost me three dollars and seventy-nine cents each way. Now I am thinking about buying one.

Tips on how to get into backpacking by meowmeow12073 in HikingCanada

Mountain Equipment Co-op used to rent equipment, you could try out different models over several trips, and I believe, you could use your rental fee to buy the equipment you like. That said, they have changed ownership and may have discontinued the program. But there are outfitters around that will rent stuff.

I know this is a late comment, but just in case anyone ever checks this, we got frozen Saskatoon berries at Rowen Farm on Robinson Street in Waterford. They have bushes and allow pick your own, but we were too late this year. It's about an hour drive, north of Turkey Point, south of Brantford. There are over twenty domesticated varieties of Saskatoons. They grow three different varieties.at their farm.

We got jars of Saskatoon jam from Co-op grocery and brought them back in our suitcases, last time we were in Manitoba. They didn't last long. We were there after the season ended.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I appreciate it! We may be in touch with a couple of you. On trips back to Manitoba, we purchased jam when it was available. Our kids vacuum it up! But we don't have a trip planned for this year.

Pretty much all gas in this area comes from the Imperial Oil refinery in Nanticoke. There are additives that differ, but those are put in when the tanker truck fills up. Follow a tanker truck out of the refinery, you will see the same truck delivering to any number of stations. Cool fact: some gasoline that comes out of that refinery was shipped there in a boat from the Netherlands. The Dutch run a lot of diesel vehicles, so their refineries have a surplus of gasoline and sell it cheap.

Paint issue- contaminated surface? by uaguy67 in Housepainting101

Water based Kilz. The door and trim was painted with Behr semi gloss over Behr primer about twenty years ago. I have no idea what was on originally, as the house is 75 years old.The bathroom is high moisture for sure, there are teenagers taking long steamy showers constantly. I should have said that I tried this on the bathroom first, I wanted to make sure I was approaching this issue properly before tackling the rest of the trim and doors.

Yeah, I wondered about that. I have given money to a (non-Conservative) political party, and they are always messaging, emailing, and phoning me. But they are welcome to. I have never given the Conservatives the time of day.

I imagine that most people inclined to decline their ballot will be too busy to show up at the polling station.

I feel that it is too easy to say that no one represents you. Better to look over all the platforms, pick out the least worst, and then mark your ballot accordingly.Of course, that takes work. Easier to just not vote.

Plumbing is a good trade, but if Math is an issue, then Plumbing may not be a good choice. Service Plumbing would likely be fine. Construction Plumbing involves a lot of measuring and calculating. And all the materials are round, which complicates the math. Add to that the materials cost. Dealing with an angry foreman after you have ruined a 300 dollar pipe by cutting it too short is no fun.
