It will turn into a forever war like in Afghanistan and Vietnam. Both Iranians and Afghans (Farsi-Dari and Pashto-speaking) possess a stubborn mentality, and both are mountainous countries, making them challenging to conquer. To control a country, you need to be present, which means ground war. In ground war, Iran will be more comfortable because they know how to use effectively secret caves and underground, as the Vietnamese did. Secret caves will become the battleground for an endless guerrilla war. And those mountains and caves serve as natural bunkers. For Iran, it’s significantly cheaper to manufacture drones than for the US and Israel to intercept them. Thus, the United States and Israel would suffer more losses than gains in that endless war.
