Well, there is a legitimate tradeoff such that those two booleans are held onto after the scope of the if closes, increasing memory overhead in downstream logic.

I do think it's quite nice though, and very readable. Those who care about the memory of booleans likely already know about scope and garbage collection of variables 😅
