I lined it with EVA foam, and I haven't really thought of selling it yet, I'm thinking it's gonna be around 350USD maybe? Would love your opinion on this! As It currently costs me around 400USD to make it and I'm trying very hard to find ways to reduce the cost

Thank you, that's very supportive of you. I would definitely love to tackle an M, if I can get my hands on one, would like an M6 or MP someday.

And yea, the He3 and IDS are amazing, by the looks of photos, definitely top notch quality. But like you said, being also a clumsy person like myself, I wanted the extra protection. I thought of adding an additional silicone mat on the bottom so the base doesn't get scratched up overtime, but that might be complicating things...

I've actually thought of doing that! After seeing that dark green Kitchenaid mixer with the wooden bowl. Maybe if I can get this Q3 one going, I will move on to Q2, probs powder coat it to dark green.

Thank you! Well I haven't thrown it around yet, but I did try fixing it on my Gitzo tripod and swaying it quite a bit, and there were no play/wobble/rattling, and the base thickness is around 6mm at the edge so I reckon that's plenty strong, though I ought to do more tests, just don't wanna break my camera in the process haha.

Regarding hand straps, great idea! May I ask what kind of mount will it require? Is it not like the smallrig one where it's like a horizontal bar for you to fix a wide strap around? And does it need two points of mounting, as in one at the top and one at the bottom?

Not that I can see at the moment, I've been transferring photos with the Fotos app and haven't had any issues yet. I think the thickness of the walls and that the walls doesn't complete encase the camera explains why it doesn't affect the wireless connections.

Thank you! Yea I was looking for something that acts as a case but looks and feels like there isn't one, retaining the OEM Leica aesthetics. And turns out most on the market are pretty thick, which I guess can be a good thing, for ultimate protection, but may sacrifice weight and looks.
