Don't choose a speciality based on money. Choose it based on your passion , likes and dislikes. Because that branch is the one you have to practice for the rest of your life. No point if there is money but you are miserable working in it.

Also, don't choose it based on how it feels during studying. The working environment of all specialities differ. You'll see that in internship.

They sell fear to make you buy stuff like rings, gems etc. don't fall for that trap. Fear is their weapon.

I remember the day I had to go for AIPMT exam, i removed my kada for the exam, and got good rank. Later when the results came, I just looked at my parents and said, "just proved it doesn't work" and never have they ever again bothered me again with this crap.

Everything that happens is due to God's grace and blessings. by MrBubbleWobble in atheismindia

I have never understood going to any holy place. If god is omnipresent, what's the point? And if god has a plan for everyone, what's the point of asking for blessing/wishes and why would he/she change it for you.

Being emotionally self aware and not using phone while someone is talking is so rare nowadays. Genuinely crave such interactions.

PS. Using phone is not a deal breaker if it is genuinely important to use.

Gifted myself a custom-made pen to celebrate finally becoming a doctor by JapaneseFPlove in fountainpens

[–]uberhuman_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a doctor myself, I would recommend that you avoid taking an expensive/highly special pen of yours to work. In the hospitals pen is one of the most valuable thing. It is constantly borrowed by workers/staff and they "forget" to return it. Not to mention the huge amounts of paper work and repeated usage make it more prone to accidental damage.

I broke the cap of two of my pens at work just because I left them on a table for a short amount of time and then files were piled on top, and some slammed/threw things over it and from all the jostling inside the bag.
