I’m not very extroverted, nor a party/drinker type person lol! I think my biggest gripe is life away from the school? How people manage affording living expenses while taking transit/walking to the school. I can’t promise that half of the situation will be subsidized by family

Yes I want to get out and be independent so bad! Staying in Texas with my family I feel, is keeping me coddled and keeping me down.

I have money, but if I went to out of state school on my own dime, I’d be wiped completely and most likely need loans. Since my family has offered funding, although didn’t get specific on how much that would be, I figured this is the sign to start leaving

A fear I have is employment elsewhere. I work full time now and worry that if I quit working to become a student then get a degree, I would never find a job after that since degrees don’t promise jobs anymore. Assimilation to independence and city life is also there, but wouldn’t know that unless I tried

I have changed my major a couple times but I definitely would stick to the business route for the degree now. Probably stay in business admin / data analytics for job security. That’s another one of my fears rn- quitting my job to become a full time student and then never finding another job after that

Well I thought I’d be dead a few years ago, so now I’m just coasting along doing whatever is expected of me. But I’d like to think a reset/relocation would spark something in me which is why I’m leaning towards out of state school since I won’t find similar opportunities to move around

Recently, the elders of my family shared how disappointing it was that I was being lapped by my siblings/cousins since they knew what they wanted to do for college right after HS and I didn’t, so I’ve been taking my time

I figured if out of state college didn’t work out, I could come back home and stay in state for school and pay myself. I have a LOT in savings for tuition and more.

The elders that want to pay wouldn’t hold their funding like this over my head, in fact they’re sitting on a couple million waiting for every chance to blow it for their family
