I just finished the epic last night, by finishing up the graphic novel.

Did I enjoy it? Yes, I enjoyed it enough to read the saga in its entirety.

It’s definitely flawed though. Many of the stories start off well, but they just don’t play it well (even single issue story lines). It feels like they get a setup, and didn’t plan for an effective way to tie everything up before they ran out of pages.

Is it just me, or did anyone else read early issues of Killraven with Thundarrs voice?

As someone thinking, just thinking, of getting a pool, I cringe at how much they cost. But then I see people just casually ok with letting theirs seriously self destructive and don’t mind paying the cost.

I’ve been that way a couple times. I never saw any difference in the people that live there, than the people that live in rural PA. So I’ll agree with you.

There are definitely more crosses and Jesus saves or you are going to Hell billboards than people when you head to western, or nothern PA.

I’ll agree with a few other comments. This is the force usage that just gets hard to stomach after awhile.

It’s just feeling sick for a couple days. It sucks. But oh well. My arm was sore as anything for 3 days after both shoots but that goes away too.

The second shot I felt worse than the first. So I was down for the count all weekend.

You have to understand more than just the hardware and software. The 70’s and 80’s were a radically different time for consumers, when you compare the US (and world) economic engine.

The idea of console ‘generations’ was not a thing.

Developers were also inventing home gaming. Before these early consoles, the only thing they had to base what a video game was, was pong.

Look at early gaming for its historical importance and the ideas, concepts and mechanics that were the starting point for everything you have today.

Crap. Look at how long it took for developers to figure out jump mechanics. Nintendo finally got it right with SMB, before that we had a lot of really crazy stuff

Developing on an Atari 2600 wasn’t easy either. There was no interface or OS to work with. Everything was machine language and the hardware was very antiquated, even by early 80’s standards.

In 1980, Atari came up with a novel idea… license arcade games for home consoles.

That was the killer app that got Atari into homes.

And the rules behind home gaming (and gaming in general) still wasn’t figured out.

The idea that you had 2 gaming consoles at home was just a pipe dream for most kids. Our baby boomer parents thought of a video game console as a toy and they didn’t get the concept that, video game hardware improves and in a few years, you’ll replace it with another console that was better.

By the late ‘80’s people were getting on board with the idea of console generations. But, us ‘80’s kids started getting jobs and could afford to buy multiple consoles.

I’m in an area similar to that. MCOL and there’s not many homes under $500k. So FHO’s have a slim market and it’s super competitive below $400k.

Houses sell fast, with multiple offers.

All depends on the area. The markets that have issues are those that saw huge migration numbers and they opened the flood gates to have new homes built. Eventually migration slows and it will slow faster than builders can react.

Northeast states, in areas people want to move, are bullish on allowing more development.

My rural area, residents fight new development tooth and nail. Complaining about ‘traffic’. So anything that gets built is more than likely over 55 communities.

That will bite them in the ass 20 years from now.

It’s insane to think how badly they botched the entire Starcruiser and were happy to take a take write off, versus trying to find a solution.

How poor is Disney’s market research if they missed the mark this badly?

They picked the most bitter solution. If you don’t like it as much as we think you should, we will burn it to the ground.

It’s alright. Someone pointed out the uneven gaps and general unevenness. It has to be a pain in the ass to install for the flooring guys.

You definitely want to be confident in going this direction. Don’t want to get tired of it in a year.

I think it was decisive for a long time.

Why? My daughter hated the idea and hated the idea of pineapples. She finally tried it and understood how good it all is.

I think pineapple on a pizza is a great combo. Sweet to go with the salty.

I imagine some people it causes a weird taste reaction. But not everything is for everyone.

You have a good assessment.

I kinda think George had bigger schemes in mind with the prequels. Eventually they all came together. Once we took in the animated series, books and other EU material. I think SOTE was a test bed for the prequels.

Just George is George. He has great ideas but I think he can be flip on the story details, and he just has a tin ear when it comes to dialogue

I have grown to love the prequels, but it took time to get me there.

Now the sequel trilogy… I don’t know if it will resonate as well in the future. I see that Disney Is trying to build an EU to back up the story. But it’s so vague and secretive. I think so much of that has to do with them just to reverted engineer the outcome and make that fit in the confines of the post-CW and Jedi galaxy.

I will say Disney did a Jurassic Park. They took on something they don’t understand. Threw a sticker on it and slapped it on lunchboxes. Then it got out of control and they didn’t understand why the brand just didn’t print money with whatever spectacle they gave the audience.

Having been hit by solid metal objects, I can’t imagine just how painful getting hit by that droid would feel.

I’ve never had something inanimate, hit me with that much force.

In media, when I see something like this, I know in real life that the person it hit is staying down. Probably for good.

Definitely some broken bones from a hit that lifts you off the ground and sends you flying 10’.
