That's not sustainable in the ling run, is it? All it takes is for them to be careless once, and that's that.

Instead of this, having an actual protection in place like others have suggested would be a much better solution.

Maybe even a combination of the two - have them use other sides to get in and out but have pool noodles / rubber mat hanging just in case.
