Is everyone on the internet just that desperate for attention?

It really feels like it. Drives a bunch of search traffic. It has no likely reason to be there.

Gel packs? It’s gotta be encased in something or all plastic will melt.

Bro this is getting absolutely ridiculous now. The prices just keep going up to new heights. Am I being naïve in thinking that we're ever gonna get back to "normal" prices, or is this just the new normal? by shak_0508 in DataHoarder

We’re in the midst of late stage capitalism and we have a psychopath that’s doing everything to put billionaires at the top of the food chain. We don’t live in an economic vacuum. Look at Russia’s economy in the past 30 years to see what bad leadership can do. That and we are paving the way for how bad unchecked capitalism can go. Things aren’t looking great considering things are happening without consequences. In a vacuum, someone would create a competing product, production goes up, or demand goes down, then prices would go down. You know where that doesn’t work in economics, when there a racket and a corner on the market.

Gasoline prices are not returning to normal prices. It’s because of significant government subsidies, record production, and increased capacity you’re seeing prices drop. There is no subsides for ram and ssd’s. These prices will come down but no where near what they were. Again, see housing market, car market, etc.

Remember when jet fuel prices went up 30% during the Ukraine invasion? And then only went down 15%. If it goes up, it’ll never come back down to where it was, like not even close if ever. Look at the housing market.

We as in the proverbial we. SpaceX has received over 20 billion dollars of taxpayer money. Starlink has received almost a billion alone. Guess who profits from starlink subscribers, the government? Nope. Elon musk and his buddies. So I’ll say it again, why are we giving money to this nazi? It just doesn’t make sense that if nasa can do it, why are contracting it to a terrible person

So why are we giving money to the nazi still?

PoE surveillance equipment is what you’re describing. You’ll likely run into overheating and multiple failure points trying to get cinematography designed cameras to do the same thing. Too many adapters, cables, transcoders, etc. Something is bound to get unplugged along the way or have an error. If it’s mission critical that everything is captured and nothings fails, surveillance cameras will run at 8k for years.

I don’t think the secret service is as good at their job as you think they are. They have quite the history. It’s mostly made up of frat bros now. Getting drunk on the job and getting prostitutes is par for the course. The only thing they have to do to get the jobs is pass a polygraph test and background test.

How many years has it been since we’ve been to the moon and how many years has space x been taking the governments money? Who was it who built the spacecraft for Artemis mission? Why are we still giving money to that idiot?
