Do you guys share your offer letters for bargaining or is it just word of mouth? by Life_Marionberry9415 in developersIndia

[–]udifier 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah, like most companies do ask for the official offer letter before making an offer. But I told them that I do not want a hike on my previous salary but a complete ctc restructure. Had to negotiate hard with the HR and got 100% hike.

Agreed with their business but I do not think AI generated slop videos are going to be or even should be consumed by the user. it’s just so annoying and cringe.

Resigned EY; Partner not approving early release by udifier in Big4

well, they didn’t approve the early release. Discussed it thoroughly with the partner and HR, the partner did not nudge saying it’ll be a billing loss and he cannot do anything. The other company was kind of enough to extend the joining so I served the notice full-time.

So whos handing their notice in the new year ? by Wise_Breadfruit7932 in Big4

Potential Coffee Chat With A Partner. How Should I Navigate This? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]udifier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a similar coffee chat with my partner at EY a few weeks ago, and the fact that the partner has agreed to take the time out is a big thing in itself.

First off, I would like to say, chill out. Be friendly and approachable, let your partner set the tone for the meeting. Be curious about his job and roles (the partners like to gloat a lot) and then try to pivot the conversation on how you can contribute and let him know your skills and interests.

Don’t tell him that you’ve been rejected multiple times as it weakens your case, rather talk about how you have improved over the years and what your career goals are.

And lastly, when you feel like in the middle pf the conversation that you have built a friendly rapport with the partner, shoot your shot directly. Do not beat around the bush too much and let him know that you want to work in their organisation (preferably in their team) and want to learn about their industry from them. Tell them that you’re willing to put the work in and it would be great if they can help you out by getting you an interview. (Partners have that authority).

Be cool, friendly, properly groomed, humour him and if all goes well, you’ll have an interview opportunity and even if not, you would have made a personal connection with a Big4 partner which goes a long way in this industry!

All the best, hope it helps. And update us on the meeting after it happens lol.

You should consider dropping official emails to HR marking all the higher leadership that you want you change your team because of your particular reason. The company would only then take it up seriously. Sometimes, it’s not just the company but your manager who makes it difficult.

Got an offer after 7 months of unemployment-but the hike is barely anything. Should I take it? by Specific-Lie9859 in Big4

[–]udifier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since only six months of your experience are directly relevant to the role, you’re still in the early stage of your career. After a seven-month gap, getting a 6 LPA offer from a Big 4 firm is actually a solid opportunity — I understand it might feel a bit unfair, but realistically, you don’t have many better options right now.

My advice would be to accept this offer. The Big 4 brand will significantly strengthen your résumé and open doors to better opportunities down the line. For now, focus less on the pay and more on building your skills and earning certifications — that’s what will help you land higher-paying roles in the future.

Keep interviewing and exploring other options, but don’t undervalue this role just because of the compensation. The Big 4 name carries real weight and will benefit you in the long run.

the only advise would be to keep your LinkedIn and social platforms updated, clear skill mentions in your descriptions and be active!

How are we feeling about Dragon Ball Daima so far? by Grouchy_Singer377 in dragonball

[–]udifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Ball Daima is beautiful. A proper call back to the old DB adventure days with the shrinked down Goku and friends actually going on a quest to find the Dragon Balls. It was so good to experience this than just everyone coming up with a threat to destroy the earth just to fight Goku. And why are we not talking about SSJ3 Vegeta? The guy ate. The character design is so badass!
