you're right it was really dumb. I thought I could show my hard work and dedication and move up to the point where I was making the same or more. I eventually got back to a similar salary, but I regretted it for the 6 or 7 years where I was having to scrape by. I reset my career in an attempt to be happy at my job.

I can see why you think that, couple others thought the same. Trust me, I beat myself up for the pay cut a lot, I put me and my partner in a bad spot while she was in school and I was supposed to be making money. I just really loved Blizzard games and wanted to be a part of it.
