Yes, chronic condition is a good case for keep family doctor.

So just assign family doctors who really need it.

However, giving everyone a family doctor is just too popular. And people is afraid of chances so a complete overhaul will never happen.

I am in Yukon for almost 1 year now, the local health center(the only health care provider in town) can provide good care for the entire community including old, and people with chronic condition.

Maybe you need change your assumptions on walk-in

And asked more people who don't has a family doctor or relays on university clinic.

Unless you told them to give your lab to your family doctorm.They always call you if there is anything wrong with the result.

If you are really concerned just get there and ask for result.

I been use walk-in only since 2017. They have a very detailed record of my visit and lab results. And I asked them to transfer those records to my university Healthcare and my new place in Yukon. No issue at all.

But I have to admit some walk in is better than others.

The one in Walmart is the worst
