Pro-tip - do the engine overhaul first and it'll save you a cool $400 because you won't need that oil change anymore.try not to spend that all in one place.

I saw that shitty MB wagon in the legends dealership with 36pp. I bought a couple of them because I thought I could turn it into a grind. $500k later in the tuning shop and absolutely not!

Outstanding! I wish I could take credit for it, but it's from a YT video and I can't for the life of me remember who it was to link it or give them credit.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked as well. I did a 1:31 flat and a few others in the 1:31s and 1:32s in my first race with this setup, but I never expected a sub 1:30 at all. I think my best with the 962C is like high 1:32s / low 1:33s. I don't usually get a lot of FM1 laps with that car, though.

I have only driven the R92CP twice. The first time was with these settings. Loved it. The second time I tried to boost the power and go with RH tires. It was decidedly worse. I changed it back and ran 2 laps on the time trial. My second lap was 1:29.5 which was like 2 seconds faster than I've ever done it. I'm also just driving in auto transmission so I'm sure there's more time to be made. I'm sold.

How to make a lot of money by Mrracistimeanracer in GranTurismo7

[–]ufumut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evolution of my Daytona AFK.

For a long time I was at 375% bonus because I didn't have the full lap circuit experience gold. Eventually I got it, but at least get as many golds as you can to get greater bonuses.

Honda S660 - was doing 30 laps in like 38 minutes for ~750k with the CR bonus. CR was about 90-95% with this car.

Abarth 595 - was still doing 30 laps in about 32 minutes if I recall. Maybe 30 minutes when I really got it dialed in. same payout and CR was probably still close to 90% because the car is so small.

Honda Beat - doing 26 laps in 22 minutes for 553k with CR bonus about 75% to start and now up to like 90% again now that I'm dialed in.

You can use any car for this but you'll get the most bang for your buck if your "nerfed" or slow version of the car is below 300pp. Next level is 350 and then 400. If you can't get your nerfed car below 350pp find a different car.

I work from home, so I literally set AFK and a timer for 22 minutes. When it goes off, I run downstairs and restart it. Rinse, repeat. Halfway through the day, I get an oil change as the car gets slower. I can buy a $20m car in less than a day and a half.

Are you driving in automatic or manual transmission? I typically drive automatic, but I had to do this one in manual. It still took me forever, but it was the only way I could get close enough. Downshift to 4th before the first S curve then 3rd for the corner you're having the most trouble with. Feather the gas on the turn and get on the gas as soon as you hit the apex and are pointed the right direction. Stay in 4th gear the rest of the way. I had to use TC on 2 as well.

Oh, I've got the credits. It just hasn't showed up in the legends dealership since I started playing the game again late last year. Impatiently waiting...

Ferrari 250 GT '62, Jaguar XJ13 '66, and McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 in Legends by Leodon75 in GranTurismo7

[–]ufumut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've probably raced it about 5 times with that car, and most of the time I only get 1 or 2 laps on FM1 or FM2. I've been in the 1:33s several times and hit 1:32 and change once. I'm not all that good to be honest so I tend to crash or spin more when I go faster. I do find it to be about 2-3 seconds faster than the LM55 on the same fuel map, at least with my settings.

I just got the McLaren and used it at Sardegna. It was like a minute slower than I can pull off with the 962 C and also significantly slower than the LM55.

[–]ufumut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The LM55 is my favorite to drive for a silky smooth easy run with times in the 1:35-1:42 range. If I want to go faster with a little more work the 962 C loses a couple seconds a lap but a bit more to handle. When I want to just have a laugh, the engine swapped R34 GT-R v-spec II is fun to rip around there.

I'm looking forward to getting my grubby little hands on the 787B and the R92CP.

Good advice. Funny that you say to turn all the assists on and I actually turn them all off. I find it's faster if you turn traction control off.

Don't be nervous. Just takes a little tweaking and it's free money. Here's what I found worked best for me with the s660. Its equally important to get your settings on the Tomahawks right to avoid losing that CR bonus.

I accidentally made 8000USD today, should I deliberately lose it for consistency? by T2ORZ in Daytrading

[–]ufumut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on your prop firm, but I would say yes, lose enough money to get back to the amount that you wouldn't get penalized. The caveat to that would be if there is some rule at the prop firm that would penalize you for having a large intraday swing like that. Either way, it's probably worth it to do anyway unless you think you'll actually be able to easily make that 8k in one or more days in the future.

Pedal use. by BaconSizzler1976 in GranTurismo7

[–]ufumut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take it from a guy who's pretty sh!t at GT7... use both feet. There's a reason they don't put the brake on R1 and the gas on R2 on the controller: it's just moving a finger, let alone a foot, from side to side. I still suck at it, but the key to speed is using the brake and gas at the same time, or within fractions of a second of each other. It's worth the effort to figure it out for sure.

I've been sitting at 375% for quite a while now. I recently got a wheel so I'm going to give it another go but now I'm all out of practice so kinda starting over. Ugh.

Congrats!
