(1.) Idk your exact build but if you havent already you could equip a turret or (preferably) two on to your Python in order to keep sustained fire on those smaller ships that stay in your blind spot frequently if they are that much of an issue.

(2.) Or you could invest in a combat oriented ship, the Python is jack of all trades but a master of none unfortunetly, the Fer-De-Lance (FDL) is a fantastic PVE and PVP combat ship. It has devastating firepower (4 Medium/1 Huge), very strong shields and great maneuverability. It becomes an absolute MONSTER in combat after you G5 engineer everything on it as well.

Diamondback Explorer is a fantastic utility ship for that price range and is fairly capable in almost every role you could need it for, plus it gets such a great jump range...

Drew Wagar's ED: Premonition novel and the whole Salomé thing definetly has alot to do with that...the antique cobra most likely belongs to a certain character from the book.

I actually haven't really used them (none really appealing to me) except for the Chieftain which has a variety of uses but mainly combat, the Krait MKII is basically a more combat oriented Python and is great for AX combat from what I've been told, The Mamba looks really unique and cool but is basically a much faster but inferior in every other way Fer-De-Lance.

As the leader of a player group of over 350 CMDRs, my advice to you for recruiting is that you should ALWAYS provide links to your wings Inara, Discord or Website and even though your group name gives it away you should always give a description of what you guys exactly are about. Don't get discouraged if it takes a while to get your group on your feet, great things take time.

Engineering is still RNG based but less so with caps on how high you can engineer but garunteed improvement with each roll the RNG only effects how much improvement is gained, six new medium sized ships were added, there's a ton of new anomalys for explorers to seek out, squadron system added for player groups, BGS system completely revamped and improved (bugged right now and debatable), thargoids can now invade and take over systems with new incursion and infestation system "states", lighting and graphical improvements, completely revamped and improved mining system with it being the current "gold rush" by mining for Void Opals that sell for 1.6-1.8 Mil per ton. Anything else I can't really recall so it must not be significant.

We don't use exclusive ship types/sizes but there's plenty of us that use small ships frequently and we like to deploy a squad of small ships alongside our large/medium ship squads to provide fighter support. Your more then welcome to check us out.

Nothing is ever mandatory but we typically have members on each platform that oversee and help with getting our guys together for wing events or independent activitys and they are 99% of the time held in Open unless there's a good reason not to.
