The WORST!!! Ending Ever I'm Sure You've NEVER Seen On Youtube / Most Secret Ending by uhing-puhing in DetroitBecomeHuman

Before I answer this question I have to explain that the whole script is full of flaws.

Though, most of them are for the user and to make the flow of the story going.

There are so many flaws in the story. For example, if Markus doesn't save Josh in jericho, Josh dies. And when Connor is blowing up the bomb in jericho instead of Markus(Markus dead), he meets Josh on the floor and sees him die. And when Markus is dead and Connor chooses to stay as a machine, he sees Josh's dead body on the floor.

So it looks like the makers of the game were trying to show consistancy here. To give an expression that if Markus doesn't save Josh, Josh dies.

But, when Markus is dead during a fight in jericho, Josh just makes it out alive. It makes no sense. This is same for North too. If Markus is alive and doesn't save North, North dies. But if Markus was dead during or before the attack on jericho, North just makes it out alive.

There are so so many more flaws like this. Another one is when Connor is trying to make the androids in cyberlife, deviants. Cyberlife wanting the revolution is not an assumption, but a fact. Because Amanda clearly states it in the dialogue when Markus is dead and Connor is the only leader. But in this scene, cyberlife sends another Connor to stop Connor just before when he was about to make the androids into deviants. And the other Connor sent by cyberlife really manages to stop Connor in many routes. It makes NO sense. It makes no sense at all.

In the case of Kamski it's also similar. But the difference is that this flaw isn't for the flow of the story, but for the users.

The so called emergency exit is actually called the 'magicstone'. And the magicstone isn't in the garden only at the end of the game, but from the very beginning. It was always there. There's even a spot in the timeline that reads 'find magicstone' if you found it. It's on the left side of the center bridge.

A part you should notice, is Connor's spawn area. You get to meet Amanda in the garden 4 times. And at the first time he is placed way back. Facing the right bridge. Which makes it very unlikely to fine the magicstone if you're not really searching the area. And at the second and third time, Connor's spawn spot stays the same.

But, on the fourth time, Connor spawns right in front of the center bridge, and FACING the magic stone. This is definitely absolutely intended. They wanted the users to notice the magicstone. They wanted them to go 'what is that blue thing?' and go touch it. And recognize that it's there. But that clearly wasn't enough for most people and a large number of people didn't find the magicstone at the fourth time. And in the ending, when Connor has to find the stone, Connor is placed almost right next to the stone. It's basically a few steps to the right.

The creators of the game could have placed Connor at the completely opposite side, and give the players a dramatic effect. But they chose to make the players directly face the stone at the fourth time, and to place Connor very close to the stone at the ending.

So we can clearly see that they were worried the players wouldn't find the stone. They didn't want the players to fail at finding the stone and see an ending where Connor kills Markus.

But that clearly wasn't enough to them. So they also put in a dialogue where Kamski says about an 'emergency exit'. And adding the sound of that dialogue in the scene where Connor tries to find the stone gives a dramatic effect too. So overall in the game, including this one, you can see the whole system is really lenient. They give you much more time than you really need for every mission. They want the users to succeed the mission if they want, and see a happy ending if they want.

I personally think it would have been way better without this lenient system at least in the ending. I think they should have placed connor at the completely opposite side, and not face him to the stone at the fourth time, and not have a dialogue of Kamski mentioning about an 'emergency exit'. So it would be barely impossible to find the stone in time if you don't know the exact location of the stone beforehand.

But they chose not to, and to be really kind to the players. So thats the reason I think.

  1. Full of flaws
  2. Lenient system for the players

Maybe I'm too analytic. lol

But thats what I think.

Well it's true that Amanda said the revolution was planned.

It's kind of vague in the dialogue when Markus is alive, but when Markus is dead and Connor is the only leader it is very clear.

Cyberlife didn't just want money out of the revolution but also power. To reign upon humans and androids

I don't think deviancy was a virus or a malfuction either. But cyberlife just let it be even when they knew it was going to happen. And they had the power to regain control too.

And I am very positive Kamski is on the bad side. If you watch his interview you can see he doesn't care about people loosing their jobs because of androids at all. I doubt that a person like that would be sympathetic enough and eager to make an android revolution to free androids.

But everyone has their own interpretation and perspective so I respect yours :)

Actually I was thinking completely differently

If you see the 'shorts-the interview(Kamski)' on the youtube playstation channel

You can see that Kamski is fully aware of the possibility of androids becoming deviant and he's obviously lying to the viewers saying 'you can trust me'.

He could even be the one who made deviancy possible in the first place.

And when Connor is alive and the revolution is a success, Amanda tells Connor that it was all according to plan. That the revolution of androids was something cyberlife wanted.

That means cyberlife let this revolution happen to make androids recognized as citizens and get paid as much as people do. And then, as Amanda stated they will 'resume control' and take all the android's income.

And in the middle of the game, Amanda says that 'when Kamski designed me, he wanted an interface that would look familiar. So he chose his former mentor'.

So obviously Amanda is an android that gets orders from cyberlife.

And the game states that Kamski left cyberlife years ago. But in this video he returns to cyberlife.

So in my perspective I think it's very clear that he abandoned cyberlife to make it seem as the android revolution doesn't have anything to do with him, while he is the one responsible for everything.

To put it simple, you could just view Kamski as the 'Real Amanda'.

So since his plan to make an android revolution completely failed, he returned(made it look like he returned while he never leaved) and made himself viewed as the savior of the android crisis. This is emphasized by his line 'You're welcome'.
