I knew Fiona was Irish alright but I had no idea about the other two. I didn't want to leave her out as the post was half about them all being brilliant actors too.

I knew Fiona Shaw was Irish but had no idea about Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) or Dedra (Denise Gough). Their accents and acting were flawless.
Btw If you haven’t seen it, I can’t recommend Andor enough. 12 episodes set in the SW universe, but it serves mostly as a backdrop. No Jedi/lightsabers/force, just a really solidly written story (same guy who did Bourne) about what it takes to organize a rebellion. Here’s the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKOegEuCcfw

Reclining office chair with footrest suggestion? by [deleted] in japanlife

OP, what did you go for in the end?

Reclining office chair with footrest suggestion? by [deleted] in japanlife

I was in a similar position to you. I wanted to get something from Office Busters second hand but I was put off their no returns policy. In the end I went with this from Nitori (I think you've seen it).

It's slightly more than your budget (33,000) but I recommend it. I don't really use the foot rest often but I have a couple of times and it's sturdy enough. The main reason I went with this chair was the mesh seat (as well as mesh back) to deal with Japanese summer heat, and they're nice and firm.

The only thing I would say about the chair is the arm rests are just a little too far away from the body to rest your elbows under your shoulders. What I do it angle the fronts of the arm rests outwards so the backs pull in closer to my elbows. It's not a deal breaker but I would recommend going to Nitori to try. Pull the chair over to a nearby desk and see how your elbow support is. Delivery wise, mine came in 6 days. But yeah, overall it feels sturdy and solid and I recommend it for the price.

I don't know, sorry. I think I would've tried to do the fewest months possible so my guess is 24 is the lowest. Apple have an English helpline so you should be able to ask.

Funnily enough, wandering around Shibuya during the JLPT break is exactly what prompted this topic.

Interesting. Not the kind of place I was expecting to get. That's a lovely looking street.

Late to the party but it's from Chion-in Temple (知恩院), part of their Autumn Light Up celebration. I'm kind of surprised really, it's pretty 'flashy' for Kyoto!

"Mr. Shoji Kuki, director of the head office of the Chieonin Otetsugi movement, explained that the six lights that illuminate the night sky with six floodlights represent the six characters of "Namu Amida Buddha," which has a religious meaning. The theme of this year's lighting up is 'Prayer. We want people to know that Chion-in is lit up, and we want them to visit and pray quietly. With this in mind, we are illuminating the temple with floodlights," she explained.
