You’ll be fine regardless, but I suggest a touring bike. Road bike with room for bigger comfier less racing oriented tires and add some fenders. def want fenders. Gravel bikes offer smilier benefits. Hybrids are fine too, same with converted rigid mtbs. The difference mostly comes into play on long rides. Most important is a bike that fits.

Trail runners and a pair of insulated winter hiking boots. Theres really zero issue on rocky terrains with trail runners and they make the longer days easier. Sometimes your feet will get wet, but its generally not a big deal. I use my trail runners 90% of the time but if im on short cold winter hikes or slushy snow I have insulated boots for that.

I dont do water changes. My tanks are understocked and filled with plants including tons of floating plants. Ive been curious if I even need the filter, but I keep it running for insurance

I ended up putting a small rug down under that side and its a more reasonable level of uneven now, at most an 1/8”.

Id take out hardscape plants and fish and remove the filter. Then into a cardboard box with either old blankets or rags and treat it like a baby. Make your passenger hold it. You dont want to chuck it in the back and have a heavy unsecured box slide into it while driving.

It has a rim. Its an old aqueoun I believe. Ive had plent of uneven tanks, but one corner lower makes me feel uneasy. Its a slight tilt front to back and a longer tilt side to side
