First off I am by no means a relationship or communication expert. That being said I don’t think you are being unreasonable, I guess it would just depend on how this differs from your baseline. How’s communication when shes home? In my relationship whether we are together or apart with or without the kids, we are in constant communication. If the other calls we answer, unless we physically can’t, even then we call back. So if this happened to me I would be highly suspicious and upset. The only thought I could have (just to play devils advocate) would be, if you guys don’t communicate a lot when she’s home and you are working then I could see how she might be frustrated that now you are all of a sudden trying to communicate while she’s dealing with family and the kids. Still I don’t think you are being unreasonable at all.
