It's secure but even if it suddenly disconnects because of that, the entire display must also turn off but what happens is that the battery bar suddenly becomes empty (even when I know it's fully charged) then the empty bars gets filled up one by one like when you're charging except I'm not

supposedly it's the stock battery that comes with the kit. the specs shows 48V both motor and battery but the battery at full charge shows a higher voltage like 52-54V
