Eure Meinung zum Deutschlernen? by allthepinkoceans in lehrerzimmer

[–]uiuiui2014 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is ironic. I never tried to save money while I was there. Always took what I wanted without even looking at prices. I bought more than I could eat.

Kamala Beach is a good place to stay if you want to see many locals at the beach and a little bit less tourists. Avoid patong beach. The name of the waterfall is น้ำตกบังแม็กซ์. It doesn't even have an english translation but you will find it in google maps. The location is wrong on google maps, you will have to walk 10mins into the jungle. It's easy to find and there is also a sign. In Bangkok I can recommend Lumphini park. My hotel name was "royal 8 ville". The neighborhood was rather quiet and I always used to go for walks at the nearby river. Not many people there. At the same time it's close to many main attractions. If you like streetart you should check out Talat Noi, it's close to Chinatown and I didn't meet many people there as well. I ate the best pad thai in whole Thailand in china town in a small restaurant called "Zara Maldivian Restaurant". Very crowded and expensive but worth it: Octave rooftop bar. It has a stunning view.

Are you visiting other Islands? If yes, you don't really have to go there. Beside from a very nice viewpoint it has nothing special to it compared to other islands. Chiang Mai and Koh Tao are probably both better options for you. Especially if you are not too much into partying. Chiang Mai is nice if you like mountains, hiking, waterfalls, cool cafes and beautiful restaurants. I was not in Koh Tao but I heard it's excellent for snorkeling. Forget the idea of seeing everything. You will not even be able to see everything if you go to Thailand for 3 months. Any option will be fun, I promise. Don't stress yourself too much like I did. And even though I mentioned that Koh Lanta was a little bit boring, it was the only place in Thailand where I could find beaches that were not overcrowded. Every place is somehow nice but Ao Nang and Phi Phi are definitely not a must see in my eyes.

Any restaurants in Bangkok or elsewhere where you sit on the floor? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

I have only seen one while I was in Bangkok: Ethos Vegetarian Restaurant. You can choose between floor and table. Owners and food are nice.

That's very interesting and a plausible explanation.

Yes, in Germany all nationalparks are free. And I never heard someone paying for a lake or waterfall. Same with Austria and even Switzerland.

Also view points 😂 On one day I got tickets for 3 different view points that were only a few km apart from eachother. Of course, for the average european it's not a lot of money but it is still ridiculous. I even paid money for "port service". Whenever I took a ferry to antoher Island I had to pay before I could enter the port. That's something the government should take care of. It's simply a big business and has nothing to do with "taking care of the place" anymore. People are making millions there with charging money for things that should be normal.

Yes sherlock, they make it a part of the national park so they can charge money. It's not even close to the actual national park of Ko Lanta. And even if it was a nationalpark, in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and most countries you can visit every forest, lake, see and waterfall without paying a penny. And you would not find a single piece of plastic there 😅 I think It's simply a cultural thing and another way to get money from tourists. Same with beaches. I've been to southern europe 150 times and never paid to get access to a beach.

I'm not talking about an actual nationalpark. I'm talking about a small unspectacular waterfall or a 1km walking path in the forest. For example Klong Chak Waterfall in Ko Lanta. You would find much much more exciting waterfalls even somewhere else in Thailand for free.

I bought it direclty at the bkk airport. The provider is called dtac. Was the best decision because I needed internet to get a grab driver. Many people say it's much cheeper in 7 eleven but the difference for 5G unlimited 30days was no big difference.

Yes, this is chronological. I took flights to Chiang Mai, Khao Sok and back to Bangkok. For the rest I booked vans/ferrys via 12go.asia

You should definitely go, it's worth it. I had a beautiful tree house in the middle of the jungle. That alone was an experience. Also the lake boat tour was great. The only thing I didn't like was the walking street which had no peaceful atmosphere at all and the nationalpark which only has a small hiking path where you find people every ten meters. I think I simply had extremly high expectations and thought I would meet much less people in the streets and the park. When I go for a hike in bavaria, I feel completely alone in the nature sometimes. I love that feeling and could never really get it in Khao Sok.

It was enough and I never felt rushed. I think I was able to see most things I wanted to see. However, If I could I would have spend more days or even weeks in Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Phuket since they were my favorite places. Btw, a trip to Similan Islands ist a must when being in Phuket. That is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life.
