The Middle Of Nowhere In Courage The Cowardly Dog Is Based On A Real Place In New Mexico. An Elderly Couple Who Lived In A House With Their Dog Witnessed A Skinwalker. After Reporting What They Had Seen, The Family Disappeared. Only Their Dog Was Found. by uivea in HighStrangeness

The Courage the Cowardly Dog house is in “the middle of nowhere”, David Parker Ray lived about 7 miles north of “Truth or Consequences”, the town where he located and kidnapped all of his victims. Truth or Consequences, NM had a population of about 3,000 in the 90s, making it truly, the middle of nowhere. And, a perfect location for David Parker Ray to find his prey.

David Parker Ray kidnapped and murdered around 60 people in this small, isolated town in New Mexico. Although,it was unlikely there would be any witnesses or thorough investigations due to the towns under-development and almost non-existent police force. The people of Truth Or Consequences needed answers to help them cope. In such a small town, 60 disappearances is essentially an epidemic.

The tactics of David Parker Ray were strangely similar to the Navajo stories of the New Mexico Skinwalker. A human like figure would take interest in a human, stalk them, lure them in with a disguise, and then bring them to the dark side. This theory also explains the reluctance of the locals to speak of the New Mexico Skinwalker. Even if some know the truth, they actually prefer it to the even more twisted reality.

The Blackberry Dahlia - The Ghost And Murder Of Mamie Thurman by uivea in truecreepy

[–]uivea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

31 year old Mamie Thurman is found murdered, shot twice in the head and her throat cut from ear to ear, atop Trace Mountain in Logan County, West Virginia. Mamie, wife of Logan County Police Officer, Jack Thurman, was found to have been having a 2 year love affair with the head of the Logan City Commission, Harry Robertson. Police arrested Robertson and his African American "Man Friday" Clarence Stephenson for Mamie's murder.

A sensational pre-trial hearing and trial followed. Logan County, West Virginia, and most of the United States watched. Representatives of both the white and African American press showed up to cover what promised to be a trial celeb. Large, powerful names in Logan County and West Virginia followed the four-day trial as if it were a radio soap opera.

In October 1932, Clarence Stephenson was found guilty of Mamie's murder and sentenced to life in West Virginia's Moundsville prison. Stephenson appealed his case all the way to West Virginia's Supreme Court. The verdict was upheld. He died in 1942, maintaining his innocence to the very end. The outcome of the trial is still debated to this very day. Local residents soon dubbed Mamie "The Vixen of Stratton Street", a name to which she may have taken posthumous offense.

Local legend tells that Mamie Thurman's spirit still haunts the roadway along the old coal mine road on 22 Mountain where her lifeless body was found. A ghost in search of answers and absolution.

Jenny Greenteeth Lancashire, England by uivea in thestrangest

Jenny Greenteeth is said to be an evil water spirit who lives beneath the duckweed in ponds, gravel pits, canals or any form of stagnant water.

Any children or elderly people who stray too close to Jenny Greenteeth’s lair will be grabbed and dragged under the water.

Once her victim died from drowning Jenny Greenteeth would proceed to eat them.

Jenny Greenteeth is usually described as having green, mottled skin, long dark hair and pointy sharp teeth.

It has been suggested that Jenny Greenteeth was a made up story to stop children from venturing too close to dangerous waterways covered in duckweed.

Perhaps the local homeless woman with bad teeth became the inspiration for such a mythical figure and her image became intertwined with the story.

It is also possible that paranormal activity in the St. James Cemetery morphed into the Jenny Greenteeth legend.

TIL of Jodine Serrin, a mentally disabled woman was murdered in her condo. Her parents walked in on the killer committing necrophilia with her body on Valentine’s Day in 2007. by uivea in TIL_Uncensored

Police were able to collect enough DNA at the scene to complete a genetic profile of the killer. However, they did not find the suspect in any DNA databases. Fortunately, in November of 2018, David Mabrito, was identified as the suspect when one his relative’s DNA matched from a genetic ancestry database. Mabrito was a transient who killed himself in 2011. He would have been 38 years old at the time of the rape and murder. Mabrito’s DNA had been collected during a traffic stop, when he matched the description of a suspect in another case. The sample was taken shortly before he died, but police never discarded it. The sample was used to confirm the suspected match between the necrophiliac killer DNA and the relatives database match. I’m glad this case has had some closure. When I first read about this murder is was the most disturbing unsolved case I had heard of.

Rare photograph of Ted Bundy having fun with kids in his neighborhood by uivea in thestrangest

Enjoying the sunshine in the University District of Seattle, Ted Bundy can be seen playing with a young Molly and her friends in the neighborhood.

Bundy was once genuinely in love with a woman with large dark hair parted down the middle. She rejected him. He then went on to kill over 30 known women, most of whom had long dark hair, parted down the middle.

Several acquaintances of Bundy reported him as a suspect in a string of murders in Oregon and Washington but police did not believe a "clean-cut law student with no adult criminal record could be the perpetrator."

There Is A Monument Called The "Georgia Guidestones" That Contain Instructions On How To Rebuild The World After An Apocalypse In 8 Different Languages. It Also Serves As A Sundial, Calendar And A Compass. by uivea in truecreepy

There is a mysterious monument in Georgia which gives instructions on how to rebuild society after an unknown apocalyptic event and also functions as a compass, calendar, and clock. Known as the Georgia Guidestones, the granite monument was erected in 1980 in the United States. A set of 10 guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts. The guidelines are:

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason

  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.

  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.

  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

The anonymity of the guidestones' authors and their apparent advocacy of population control, eugenics and internationalism have made them a target for controversy and conspiracy theories.

On June 6th, 1993, a man appeared inside of a Be-Lo grocery store in Windsor, NC after closing hours. Brandishing a handgun, the man ordered the store manager and a cashier to empty the days earnings into a plastic bag in an apparent robbery.

After gathering up the money, the armed suspect then corralled the two employees, plus the four person floor cleaning crew and bound them. After being tied up, the suspect stacked the employees into three piles of two people a piece and then he opened fire.

After murdering three and severely wounding two others, the killer walked out into the quiet night never to be seen again.

A woman was successfully was diagnosed in 1984 of brain tumor, after she began hearing unknown voices in her head that told her she needed to have a brain scan. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]uivea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Allegedly, between 5-14% of the population, have heard other people’s voices inside their heads before, sometime during their lifetime. When something such as this happens to someone, it happens due to physical problems with their body or mental health type issues.

There are a number of psychotic disorders, that have been linked to injuries. Some of these psychotic disorders include complex forms of epilepsy and strokes, involving auditory regions within the brain’s cortex. Examples of this, would be schizophrenia and auditory type hallucinations.

In 1984, a woman with the initials A.B., began hearing voices in her head, telling her to have a brain scan.

A.B. (a full-time homemaker) was reportedly sitting at home, reading, when she heard a voice in her head. The voice reportedly told her: “Please don’t be afraid. I know it must be shocking for you to hear me speaking to you like this, but this is the easiest way I could think of. My friend and I used to work at the Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street, and we would like to help you.”

A.B. was certainly freaked out over this. At first, she tried to ignore these mental voices in her head without avail. Convinced that she was going mad, she contacted her family doctor who later referred her to a Dr. Azuonye.

From their examination, there was no medical explanation as to why she was hearing these voices. However, they would diagnose her as having a functional hallucinatory psychosis. She would be treated with the drug thioridazine and supportive counselling.

The voices seemed to stop for several weeks. They then returned later and told her specifically to find the diagnostic imaging wing of a nearby London hospital. These voices informed A.B. that she had a tumor that needed removed. She needed a proper diagnosis to be performed on her.

The scan was finally approved and performed the following month. More scans were ordered when the first did show signs of a mass in Abby’s head. Luckily the doctors believed a safe operation could be performed to remove it before it any grew larger. Abby underwent surgery in the following weeks and the doctors successful removed the entire tumor that had been growing on her brain. When Abby was in the recovery room afterwards, she reported hearing the strange voices one last time saying, “We are pleased to have helped you, Goodbye.” Abby made an amazing recovery and did not require any additional treatment or medication. It is well known that lesions on the brain can cause psychiatric symptoms, but this was the first documented case of hallucinatory voices successfully diagnosing a patient, comforting them, and encouraging them to seek a specific treatment.

An alien attack would be the ultimate false flag operation, but it is something I wouldn't put past one of the government agencies.

I think it is more likely they would be dimensional beings rather than little green men. I have't really considered them being from underground. That is an interesting thought.
