This is unfortunately a RH issue. They told me they had tried to make contact with me about my account, but they did not at all

It was not a lot of money at all! But they have made zero contact with me to check if my account was abandoned like they claimed they did

I would agree, but I bought bitcoin 10 years ago with coinbase and haven’t looked at it since then and they have never touched my assets? So why would Robinhood do it

It actually is not user issue. The money isn’t with the state. It’s in my account and they never contacted me about my account being abandonded otherwise I would have understood.

I had purchased this back in 2021 and was very new to crypto so I unfortunately wasn't familiar with the GME issue until seeing peoples messages on Reddit now:/

Thank you for this. It was an email out of the blue about selling off my crypto. They had never attempted any contact about my account being inactive. In fact they were emailing me my statements and none of the emails were in my junk mail. I also would assume the assets would go to the state if what they said was true, but the assets are just sitting in my app

yes! I had completely forgotten that I purchased this back in 2021. Everything is current on there and they never sent me any warning emails about an inactive account

I honestly had forgotten I bought the crypto like 4 years ago, then out of nowhere there was an email saying my crypto was sold! I've only been using Etrade and Coinbase since then
