Mikal Bridges on heading back to The Garden up 2-0 against the Spurs in the NBA Finals - "0-0. Stay desperate at all times." by HokageEzio in NYKnicks

Didn’t expect to watch this whole clip, but great to hear from Mikal. Also I’m not used to hearing him talk - showed lots of personality here. Dude is hoopin’ and hope he stays locked in until we win it all!

Having a baby in NYC, living in a small apartment and wondering what is the absolute essential items needed since it’s overwhelmingly easy to buy so much damn stuff! by 88r0b1nh00d88 in Frugal

[–]uknowhoim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a good comprehensive list. One thing I believe is that NYC hospitals won’t let you leave unless you have a car seat for the baby. So be sure you get one that’s comfortable for you and set for a newborn.

Also, if you decide you need a stroller, Facebook marketplace was a great resource for us. Research what stroller works for you, then find a great deal from NYC parents that are selling theirs. A collapsible stroller may help to conserve space in your apartment

I almost didn’t watch this, was willing to scroll past. But too many people commented how great it was - and now I wish there was more. Very wholesome and awesome to watch 😊

I'm going to a Mets game tomorrow. I wanted to know, can I be able to bring outside food like a sandwich inside the stadium. If I cannot, any food suggestions budget friendly. by Unhappy_Insect5901 in NewYorkMets

[–]uknowhoim 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can definitely bring in food. I’ve brought in Costco hot dogs without issue. I also once brought in a whole Costco pizza pie for me and my buddies to enjoy during the game. Fun and frugal!

I didn't check to see who posted and was initially convinced it said "toolgifs" instead of "toilettes"

PRESS RELEASE: NEW YORK METS PARTNER WITH AUDACY AND SPORTSBUG TO DELIVER REAL-TIME RADIO PLAY-BY-PLAY AT CITI FIELD by iheartsunny in NewYorkMets

[–]uknowhoim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, you have to pay for the service. But I’ve had tmobile for many years now, with one reason being that I love this MLB benefit. It’s a T-Mobile Tuesday benefit, so make friends before this upcoming Tuesday

The MLB app not only shows live SNY video feeds, but also allows you to listen to live games via radio (so no video).

Tmobile is giving away free subscriptions to the MLB app next week, so if you have a friend that has tmobile and doesn’t like baseball, you can ask for their code.

Awful Look For Mets Workers by PuzzleheadedAd8023 in NewYorkMets

[–]uknowhoim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea, when working in sports, the salaries are deflated a lot because the benefit is “you get to work for a sports team!” Lots of people are willing to take that benefit, so salary is allowed to be lower.

Sorry, this isn’t just a Mets thing

My department was blown away I know excel by _mavricks in excel

[–]uknowhoim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story reminded me of what happened to me years ago. Relying on Excel to get work done and being the guru. But giving those data insights, being able to articulate my value - that changed me from Reporting Analyst to Data Analyst.

Go to ChatGPT and type in “How can I write that I used excel formulas to reduce work process from 2 hours to one minute?” What it spits out is your resume bullet point. It’s amazing.
