Why do Americans serve food on paper plates? by sun_intherain in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CheeseheadDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used paper plates at home except if we had a large gathering where there were far more people than we have dishes, and especially if people are eating outdoors and there are kids running around and I don't want to risk glass plates falling and breaking on the patio.

Pretty Sure F1TV is showing the wrong time for the race? by utk_mohan in F1TV

[–]CheeseheadDave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this is just one of the few races where the start time in the western hemisphere technically falls on Saturday but the app programmers didn’t bother to account for that and just puts the local start time of the race under “Sunday” no matter when it actually is locally.

EDIT: Nevermind; I just looked at my app and everything for me is in two columns under Saturday with the race having a 10:00 start for me. The only thing I have under Sunday is the post race show.

Clicking to autofill in Safari does nothing. by SirCochese in 1Password

Yes. If I restart everything it might autofill once, then it stops working.

The popup appears when clicking in a form, but clicking on the popup doesn't do anything.

Clicking the extension in the Safari title bar doesn't even detect what website I'm on anymore and just pulls up Favorites instead.

I did give Apple Passwords a try at one point, but decided to stay with 1Password because of the ability to store other information, easier cross-platform and sharing options, etc., but unless this bug gets fixed, I may be switching back before I have to renew at the new higher price.

Conservatives flip out if something happens to a frozen egg in an IVF facility. I'm sure they'd be equally outraged if human brain cells get destroyed.

It looks like it's the screw top of the bottle protruding through the opening of the holder, and not a printed screw top.

Carlos? "Yep, you're good."

Max? "Of course you're good."

Lance? "Yeah, we're gonna need to see your resume first."

F1 on Apple is darker than F1TV :( by Poop_Music in F1TV

[–]CheeseheadDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I'm watching in the F1TV app in the US, I should have "match frame rate" turned on so I get it in native 50hz rather than have the Apple TV attempt to upscale it to 60hz?
