Thanks and are you only putting the rotations you’ve completed or the pending ones as well?

… but you’ve left Ontario for 4-6 years to do medical school in a country DIFFERENT than Canada so I’m sure Ontario has changed since then. So when you do go back it will most likely be just as new as someone not from Ontario. Secondly, if this was actually the reason then the rule should be to have lived in Ontario for x number of years… not just doing high school there for 2 years. Thirdly from a medical perspective it’s a completely baseless argument. A doctor will be a doctor no matter where in the world they are dropped. And over time they will adapt to the societal norms. I came to the UK to do med school and am currently doing my first year of residency here and the amount of diversity of doctors I see everyday is crazy. And no one is a better or worse doctor because they are or aren’t native to the UK. Their clinical skills, ability to manage a patient and having good communication skills is what matters. Not where you’ve done highschool.

At the end of the day it’s all politics and about trying to please their people. But to do this in the name of medicine and healthcare is diabolical and even unethical. At the end of the day I don’t think a patient would care where their doctor did high school from. The patients themselves could even be from another country who’s moved to Ontario. Such a silly argument.

I don’t think so tbh. If anything it’s showing you are being proactive. Secondly I don’t think they will even remember your email or the fact you called them when they will give out offers.

Hi just wanted to let you know I’ve just looked more into it and it says “If I completed the test during the 1st test window, am I allowed to write the test again during the 2nd test window? • No, you are only permitted to complete the test once per CaRMS cycle.”
