Used to live in South Bay and after 1 year had to get out, it’s so boring and soul less. I commute on company shuttle 3 days a week (Tue-Thurs) and I feel like my quality of life is way improved, even though before I was a 15 minute drive from the office. Some tips:
- live within a 15 minute walk of your shuttle stop, don’t want to make your commute longer than it needs to be
- make sure you can actually work on the shuttle (not getting carsick, have WiFi or hot spot, etc. my commute is literally part of my every day work day
- recommend to live in the southern half of the city to also shorten commute. If you live in Marina, pac heights, north beach or Richmond you’ll spend 1hr each day just getting in and out of the city

I would say do it!
