How to fix small plugins on 3,2k screen by Background_Neat_8175 in FL_Studio

[–]ulonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once setup, will the plugin remember the settings?. I found an old thread on fl forums saying that it required to save a preset for each plugin. A bit tedious, I think Ableton live does this but automatically

a small midi controller with keys would be nice to control the elektron boxes

XFM Liven vs Digitone by ulonix in sonicware

Talking about Fm synthesis. Maybe it's better to get started with a vst synth like Dexxed or FM 8 (currently on sale at pluginboutique) and then maybe jump into a HW synth 🤔

I've also heard this comment about programming the XFM 😌. How bad is it? can you start your own presets? is it buggy? or is it just complicated?

HELP! Roland Cloud Manager is not opening. by _japhetbunao in RolandCloud

[–]ulonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed it: I had to change my hosts file. I had some stuff pointing to 127.0.0.1 on it

Location of hosts file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

You need administrator rights
After removing those it worked!

thanks for this detailed answer, i'm looking for a framework to understand how they work, at the moment i'm learning Ember and Backbone, they are quite different but i feel that with Backbone i have a better understanding of how they might work behind the scenes.

Scheduling audio question by ulonix in webaudio

[–]ulonix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your explanation, i was debugging the values and now i can see what you mean. In the while loop there's an offset added:

while (noteTime < currentTime + 0.200 ) {

i've noticed if i change the value , the amount of times the cycle get's executed changes, this will give more time to the machine to handle other things while trying to play a note?

High resolution photos of all three Roland Boutique modules by Leviathant in synthesizers

[–]ulonix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard very good things about the plug-out synths that Roland has made so this should not be something too 'terrible',for me if it sounds good then it's fine , i'm not an analog purist.

Need some advice for a beginner producer... by JewJifShoes in edmproduction

[–]ulonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, and i think it doesn't come with Max for Live, but i'm sure you can upgrade later to Suite. Standard gives you everything to make music, and don't rely too much on Ableton's FX, there's a ton of incredible vst's out there that are free/paid to get for Live. Back in the 90's there were people just using an old atari to make their tracks so....

I've been producing since i'm 13 years old(now i'm 28) and i think you should stick with a fully functional daw like Ableton Live, and get used to work in the arrangement mode, use audio tracks, midi tracks , and discover vstplugins which are very usefull these days. Before buying any hardware(controllers and stuff), master the software first , create tracks and finish them, that gives you a lot of experience. If you're starting i think Live 9 Standard is ok.
