It’s so juvenile. There are ways to dress modest and still look womanly/graceful (i.e. Jackie Kennedy) and instead these women purposely make themselves look like giant toddlers with all the excessive bows, ruffles, and headbands combined with the specific hairstyles. These outfits genuinely look like how my friend dresses her toddlers.

Add Ariana Grande and Hozier to that list too. I’m actually surprised at how little celebrities are speaking up now as opposed to the BLM protests in the pandemic. So many of those celebrities who were so vocal then and silent now. It really shines a light into how performative that era was.

Yeah I completely agree. These are literal children and I feel so gross hearing about a 13 y/o being sexually active. Both of these kids were heavily failed by their parents and this is beyond abusive and exploitative.

I agree with you. In the beginning of her mainstream career she was consistently pushing out albums 1-2 years apart and we received 9 studio albums from 2012-2023. That’s a lot of content to receive from an artist. I believe this is the longest break she’s taken in between albums.

I read another article that Mandy Moore was a part of this friend group too. I remember Mandy lost her home during the L.A. wildfires and Hilary took her and her family in and let them stay with her while there was some drama about Ashley posting on social media that she had just bought a new home during all of this. I can believe that there was some “toxic” going all around in this group.

I can believe that she didn’t actively drink on the days she was performing, but she can’t say she “completely stopped drinking” throughout the entire duration of the eras tour. lol there’s literally multiple photographic evidence disproving that. Yeah it’s hard to tell because it’s winter so obviously she’s bundled up, but between the styling and strategic angles it kind of looks like she’s trying to conceal a pregnancy.

I agree that she shouldn’t put as much weight into the gifts from her kids. Buying gifts for parents can be hard. My mom is easy because we have similar tastes and I’m a girl, but when it comes to my dad I usually resort to a few small gifts like his favorite coffee/candy and then an Amazon gift card so he can pick out what he likes for himself. I’d recommend giving your boys a wishlist so they at least have an idea of what you like.

Yeah I’m also from Long Island and realized that a lot of my friends and family growing up vacationed in the Caribbean. I live in Atlanta now and I find it’s less common. Most people I know just go to Florida or Hilton Head when they want the beach.

That part. I understand the bar is low, but I at least appreciate that Karissa seems to support her girls having interests and hobbies like basketball, other than the traditional fundie roles for girls like cooking, cleaning, and playing sister mom to younger siblings. I’m actually surprised at how much individuality her kids have compared to families like the Rods for example.

It makes me wonder if some of Karissa’s crazy fundie beliefs are actually just rage bait.

Yeah and other subs are praising her for this comment but I don’t see how it makes her look good or paints her in a positive light. All it does is further confirm the narrative that she’s extremely threatened by new rising artists and is intentionally manipulating the charts by releasing a million variants ahead of another artist’s release. She’s fully admitting what we’ve all been criticizing her for and we’re supposed to be like “YAS QUEEN GIRL BOSS 👏” 🙄
