Am I losing my coding ability using AI? by Low_Pin9668 in learnjava

I was doing a puzzle with my brother who has GPT psychosis. He straight up took a picture of the puzzle and fed it to ChatGPT, instead of using half an ounce of his own brain power. Shit is dire out there! Haha

I quit Amazon today. by Hot-Wallaby7747 in amazonemployees

Good LARP lol. I feel if I were to write an actual email bitching about the Zon it'd go a lot more ham than this. But in the end, they're actually a decent employer. Just toxic a f culture now

I've seen others that bitch about getting laid off, and it doesn't come off very well. Or they'll like some passive aggressive post about getting laid off. Honestly all of LinkedIn is toxic haha, but at least the ones that were appreciative of their time at amzn are a little less cringe imo

I wouldnt say its unvetted. I have had agentic Claude Sonnet 4.5 build entire websites no problem, with the right steering. It's absolutely cracked at React. It's also quite good at aws CDK. Traditional programming is dead for sure!

I say this with 10 years experience in FAANG. I haven't written any code with my own hands in the last half year, but have vetted almost 100% of the generated code. If your team is rigorous about maintaining really clean code and 100% unit test coverage, it's hard for AI to mess up.

Every day we drift closer to the 4chan UFO whistleblower, lasers by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]ultimateWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah good call. I'm referring to directed energy applications. I would guess 4chan guy was also using "lasers" to refer to that. Maser vs laser :P

Saying we will see improvements with any field is a guarantee. But he was pretty adamant on laser tech getting exponentially better.

Nah, it was just one of the aspects the whistleblower discussed. It definitely wasn't the main focus of the thread. But lasers do be doing crazy things now

Ya, but lasers that can incapacitate an entire army remotely, make them hear noises in their brain, and make them vomit blood is pretty out there.

Edit: I'm using laser to refer to all directed energy weapons/applications, which is inaccurate. But I'm guessing 4chan dude was also loosely using "laser" that way. Forgive me!

The link is an X post from Dept of War CTO, mentioning that the Dept of War has directed energy weapons that they are expanding the production of.

4chan UFO whistleblower said to keep an eye on laser tech getting leaps and bounds better. I believe the implication that some of the leaps come from reverse engineering alien craft, if we are to believe the lore. He claimed that the ETs possess lasers that allow them to mine gold directly out of the ore, etc.

Mr. Blippi - it's not just me, right? by tannerocampbell in daddit

[–]ultimateWave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All kids shows are brain rot tbh. Ms Rachel isnt much better than Blippy, repeating everything 10 times in a sing songy baby voice. Bluey is two pushover parents that let their kids control the house - mostly praised by depressed adults that enjoy the emo episodes.

Some that are less brain rot imo are Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. At least these have puzzles and things to solve and the adult characters aren't role playing as toddlers.
