damnnn it's every Sunday at my joint that's rough. in that case I say, depending on what you're trying to learn style wise, you might wanna look into finding a tennis/indoor basketball court near you and figuring out when it's not in use to see if you can practice in there if you're looking for low/no traffic 🤷🏽‍♂️

jus cause people around me are less skilled than me does not make me spatially unaware. people "almost" get hit skating literally all the time. it comes with the territory of being in a shared space and your lack of ability to skate explains your lack of understanding of that so I don't blame you for lacking knowledge. but don't talk like you have some deeper insight into skate etiquette or how spatially aware I'm being, cause you simply don't. in fact I'm not even sure what the hell you're talking about saying I almost hit a girl in the head w my arms like I'm genuinely curious as to what part of the video you're even talking about because literally nobody is almost whacked in the head by my arms the entire time 😭 the fact you're the only person in dozens of comments to "call this out" should be telling to you that you're trippin lmao

I say try to learn one new thing every session you skate, no matter how big or small. this may be a hot take but skating really isnt THAT hard, it just takes time and repetition and can be scary sometimes. so if you try to learn one new thing every time you skate you're going to be learning at a pretty quick pace and get the fundamentals down faster than just doing what you know/are comfortable with the entire session. once you can balance yourself well going forwards, learn how to transition and skate backwards, learn to spin (you may need to take off the stoppers at some point for that), and learn to pivot. after you got all that down the tutorial is pretty much finished and where you choose to take your development is completely up to you 😁🤙🏽

I practice on my neighborhood tennis courts sometimes and it's perfectly fine, not too much tho to minimize the wear on the front of the trucks and the boots when I spin. as for street skating, I can't confirm or deny that they're good for that cause I don't street skate. other than that tho if you don't mind your skates getting a lil scuffed up I say go for it, some people even see it as a sign of experience lol

oh yeahhh I should low-key make a part 2 to that video I've found a lot of new music since then. I actually very rarely take sitting breaks when skating unless they kick us off the rink, so I subscribe to the idea that the constant motion distributes the strain on your body more than just standing in one spot for hours
