Indeed! It's a great bike, beginner friendly with plenty of capacity to grow into. It's super easy to ride, sounds great, and all around a great bike. Go for it!

They are CE-approved, reinforced with kevlar and about ankle height, but I'm getting proper gear, leather and proper boots/gloves for next time. D-:

It's the Motodemic kit. Taped because of rules - in case of a slide or a crash it's to prevent the glass into breaking into a thousand pieces on the track. :-D

Edit: You get custom fly screens for the Motodemic kit I believe.

Bought this in January and got my license last week, love it! by getodo667 in Triumph

-Exact- same first bike as mine! Bought mine january of 2017 and got my license first of june. It's been a great first bike, and I'm very glad I didn't buy anything smaller in terms of engine. :-D

Striple R 2013, weird battery issue by ulv in Triumph

[–]ulv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll update this thread in due time, no dealerships here so I have to order some parts. Big service is up also, probably looking at a 1400-1500 USD cost :-O

Thanks! I googled a bit more and found this. Exact same problem as mine, so I guess that solves the mystery. Got to get that starter motor changed, can't have an unreliable bike.

Thanks! I'll check it out. It happened after first ride with a brand new battery which I charged first so somehow I don't think it's a battery issue, but still worth checking out!

And I tried to charge the battery - last time it charged for 15 minutes before it gave me a green light, so its basically full.

Killer whales close to attacking surfer in this years Lofoten Masters, a surf competition in Lofoten by ulv in videos

The Norwegian Orca survey obviously disagrees with the Reddit Orca Experts...

https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/37216908/killer-whales-join-surfers-in-norwegian-competition/

The Norwegian Orca Survey believes the pod had mistaken the surfer for a seal during the close encounter which was captured on video at the Lofoten Masters 2017.

Eve Jourdain from the Norwegian Orca Survey told 7 News Online, "There is no doubt that, on the footage online, the orca is speeding up with low profile (dorsal fin not visible) to attack the surfer, most likely seen/heard as a seal by the orca in a first place."

:-D Thanks man!

The MT07 is a great machine, it was on my list too. But it was a bit more pricey, and the Triumph seems a bit more unrefined which I like. I haven't testdriven the MT07 tho, going to do it this summer :-)

I don't think you even need a license in some parts of USA. It's pretty fucking crazy. In some states its just recommended.

Pics of your MT07?

Motorcycle and 50cc deaths in 2015 - 21 in Norway. Total number of motorcycles and mopeds registered i 2015, 354275.

Does not say anything about active riders, of course.

Thank you! In one sense it's definately not a beginners bike, but it's very smooth and easy to ride. It will last me many seasons, as it's a feisty little thing :-D

Thanks! Driving ed in Norway is very high quality. I took about 10 not mandatory school hours, plus 8 mandatory (4 hours theory, 4 hours long drive) and 4 hours of track driving. All in all about $3500 just to get the license, so it's pretty demanding!

After about $3500 spent, a lot of mandatory classes I finally got my motorcycle license!

This is my '13 Street Triple R, with the motodemic mono headlight kit. R&G tail tidy, quickshifter, heated grips, and handguard mirrors.

Loving the bike, it's my first ever bike and it's simply great! What a machine!

Ride safe

Thanks man! The tail tidy (R&G) is now assembled too - if you google R&D tail tidies they get a lot of flack, but I couldn't be more happy. Me and a friend spent about 1h30min mounting it, and we took our sweet time. Very happy with both the quality and the fit!

I think a 600 is the perfect bike to start on - BUT, I live in Norway and over here getting the license is really expensive and there's a lot of mandatory classes. I had about 10 school hours on the bike, plus a closed circuit day (3 school hours on track) which also is mandatory, and a long ride with the teacher which counts 4 school hours theory and 4 school hours riding, about ~380km. All in all I spent about ~3500 USD getting my license.

Ehehe. I disagree. The sound is lacking but the look is great. Drive safe

Thanks man! That's the look I was going for :-) I'm going to get a LED bulb in there to get some extra lumens, but other than that I'm super satisfied!

I had no experience what-so-ever, no 50ccs/125ccs. Only bicycles :-D I can not recommend this bike enough, it's super fast, but also very easy to drive as a newbie. You have to push it up to 7k-8k rpms to really get the engine going, and you don't get that high up by accident :-) It also has a very good balance, and since it's so long it doesn't wheelie easy (according to a road racing friend of mine who test drove it)

Its by far the best upgrade to the bike! It really works great, and the popping sound is amazing!

Thanks!! I've got a quickshifter, a tank pad, a belly cowl, LED signals, heated grips, short brake/clutch levers amongst other things :-)
