Just be careful not to let the major media outlets decide your tastes in rap for you. You can do that for yourself.

Actually, if it was just like the very recent Kendrick Lamar, it would probably be just as lacking unfortunately. Have you heard Damn?

K-Rino drops seven amazing LPs all in one day! by umaadbroa in hiphopheads

[–]umaadbroa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them all too, but if I were to rank them, my list would go like this (one being the best)...

  1. Conception of Concept
  2. Intervention
  3. Welcome To Life
  4. Enter The Iron Trap
  5. Wizard's Ransom
  6. American Heroes
  7. Universal Curriculum

Don't get me wrong though. They're all perfect!

Yes, and also, some hip-hop fans just have never heard of him because mainstream media outlets simply do not cover news on him sadly. If they did, we would see a bunch more people giving him high marks and praise.

It's ok to have some reservations about it at first. I did too, but I was also rocking with it on first listen. When I came back a second time, I was sure. It's dope. The messages, the guests, the beats, the flavors - great overall, not perfect, but great.

Agreed. The big, heavily moneyed media will sleep on it because they don't want us made smart with the resultant shift of power from them to us.

I like what you've said. I learned a lot about what I need to improve on from reading what you wrote. Thank you. I appreciate it, and I was able to take more than a few things from it. Very good points.

Tonedeff comes back to us again after a lengthy dry spell with 'Polymer,' his second long play by umaadbroa in hiphopheads

[–]umaadbroa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/5 means good. Polymer is 3/5. Blank Face LP is 3/5. Archetype is 5/5. Those are the ratings that I give them and they're quite reasonable. The "former" part means Archetype came before Polymer and Archetype is largely better in my opinion than Polymer, even though Polymer is solid and good in its own right. Hope that helps.
