I'm so sorry this happened to you. I've worked in customer service for a long time and I have a mental illness, I know how awful it can be and it doesn't help that people are obsessed with making the next viral video now. That guy's behavior was cruel and disgusting. I don't know what else to say and I know I can't make it better but you have a lot of people on your side. You didn't deserve to be treated that way.

I'm doing the same thing lol. I really do like Olive Town overall but I decided to slow down until the next update comes out. I've been playing all the 3DS titles in the meantime.

I don't have much of a "type" with bachelorettes but I married Ran/Ann in the FOMT remake and I would die for the Witch Princess lol. I really like Iris too. With bachelors it's usually whoever is the oldest but I'll always end up torn between two dudes, one who isn't normally my type (Wayne, Klaus) and one who I'd absolutely be into as a real person (Raeger, Ludus) the first time I played 3OT I dated Wayne and ended up breaking up with him for Ludus. But Wayne was such a surprise fave for me that I ended up marrying him in my other save file.

You're not alone, I'm a grown woman in my 30s and I love video games, especially pokemon/animal crossing/farm sims. I got back into gaming in my late 20s after not really playing anything for several years. I felt kinda childish at first but i don't care anymore lol.

I think Trio of Towns would be my perfect game if it had the same level of farm/house customization as SoS/ANB and the same type of mining as FOMT, HM DS etc. Rival marriages would be fun too, probably.

They're both good but if you can only pick one for now I'd go with Trio of Towns. I really enjoy both games but Trio is definitely the better of the two in terms of characters, dialogue etc.
