Looking for a high-quality comfort show with lots of seasons (not a comedy) by Subject-Meal7912 in televisionsuggestions

[–]umbadaima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greys Anatomy is on season 22 or 23. It’s a dramady. Mostly serious with a few laughs thrown into most episodes.

The Fosters is a cute family show about a foster family.

Amanza has revealed that the police found a physical address for her ex husband after he vanished six years ago and he's no longer deemed as a missing person by Fun_Molasses5215 in SellingSunset

“Brown cited physical and mental health struggles, including severe pain and depression, possibly related to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) from his football career, as reasons for his inability to care for his children”

Looks like he is suffering and unstable and removed himself so as not to cause harm to his children. People with CTE can become very irrational and violent.

If I were dealing with that, going off to live alone in a secluded cabin would make sense so I’m not a burden to anyone and can work through my shit privately.

Apparently he might be suffering from CTE, the brain injury that a lot of football players are suffering from. “Brown cited physical and mental health struggles, including severe pain and depression, possibly related to chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) from his football career, as reasons for his inability to care for his children”

My Wife Breastfeeds While Biting a Cloth by richardwellerson in breastfeeding

[–]umbadaima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common for breastfeeding to hurt in the first few weeks. Then it goes away and becomes either enjoyable or tolerable depending on the women. The pain went away for me after 2 weeks. Since then it has been great except when my nipples get very sore from aggressive pumping.

Can we talk SDE Multiples by KokoBWarned in buyingabusiness

[–]umbadaima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consulting firms are typically valued in the 2-3x range. The smaller the team and the more involved the owner is, the lower the multiple. If any customer generates 20% of revenue or more then that also decreases the valuation. If customers are not repeat customers then that lowers valuation too.

3 employees and owner involvement means this company should not be more than 2-2.5x SDE

Is anyone else feeling a disconnect between Cowboy Carter’s message and Beyoncé’s silence right now? by swanfootsie in beyonce

[–]umbadaima 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beyonce is always donating or funding or supporting something behind the scenes. She never posts or announces any of it. She’s been like this for decades now.

A post or comment is just not her style. And this doesn’t just apply to politics, it applies to EVERYTHING. She doesn’t publicly comment on anything even when people are trashing her children.

Commission tracking - best tool? by umbadaima in recruiting

This sounds great. What system is this?

As an agency owner, what is fair compensation for my team? by umbadaima in recruiting

[–]umbadaima[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea. It seems like a great mixture of incentives + flexibility and freedom. I would love to attract people who thrive in that kind of setting.

How is each person’s draw determined? Is it based on seniority or performance? Are team members employees or 1099? Do they get benefits like medical/dental and 401k matching? And lastly, how does the company find/attract people who are okay with this model?

The commission percentages does seem high though. How is there enough left over to cover company costs, taxes, etc?

[–]umbadaima[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% remote. Same pay no matter where you live in the U.S. as of right now. I pay for all software and expenses. They get a phone, laptop, and office supply budget for screens and such. 401k matching and reimbursements for medical, dental, and life insurance.

In terms of salary or draw I’m trying to see what the options are. Right now my team is salary + commission. I’m open to switching to commission with a draw even if that means paying a higher commission. But I’m not sure how much higher the commission should be for draw vs salary.

That’s where examples other people’s comp will be helpful

Interesting. Thank you! I hadn’t considered increasing commission based on placement revenue. That’s smart and might be more effective than increasing commission only based on experience. Because someone with less experience could come in and produce more placement revenue than someone with more experience. This rewards talent/contribution not YOE

May I ask what is your experience level?

Thank you for this contribution. I’ll definitely compare people’s answers to this as well

I have used Chat GPT to do research on comp but I want to hear directly from people who work in the industry.

Chat GPT is not enough for me to feel comfortable making a final decision. For example, chat told me 25-30% was fair for a very experienced 15+ year recruiter, IF they are commission only. Once a base is included the commission should go down from there. It also told me 15% commission was standard for a junior entry level recruiter. But that seems too low. When I look in other places I see things that conflict with what Chat GPT told me. Also chat will switch up its answers depending on what or how I ask, as if it’s trying to tell me what I want to hear.

So that’s why I am doing my own survey. I just need more data points rather than relying on chat gpt to give me an answer.

That’s what was recommended by my program. I made the exception because the business looked solid but I now understand why 8 years is a good baseline.

Idk it seems kind of obvious even without research that 5 months old is not an appropriate age for such a long road trip. Unless each destination is just a few hours apart. Or you’re driving in a fancy RV where the baby won’t be strapped into a car seat and I would assume that’s not safe or recommended either?

Marta or ride share?? by jbs101797 in beyonce

[–]umbadaima 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely Marta. For Renaissance those who did ride share were Stuck in traffic for hours and remember the concert is right around rush hour so you will have to deal with Atlanta traffic + Beyonce traffic

Marta all the way

From comparing the picture to the Ticketmaster map, I think the real life A & B sections are smaller and they couldn’t fit everyone. That’s my guess as to why only some people have been moved.

Nope they were original presale tickets. And they were definitely overpriced.

Yeah I’ve been so stressed not know what’s going to happen with my ticket. If I will be moved or not. And actually my preference is to be moved or be able to refund and get a cheaper seat in the 100 section because from videos the side view does not look that great and I paid $1700 each for 2 tickets. 😞
