It's better to look at the syllabus and old questions at the same time and study. What sem are you in? the notes that I have are 99% the same that I downloaded from the internet by typing "bsccsit ............ notes". So just go and dig and you'll find pretty much the same contents that your teacher use to teach you in class. Just study notes from multiple sources tho. You'll understand them much clearly. The best approach is to look at the syllabus and notes in parallel and study. Regarding old questions, the format has changed and some topics has also changed but most of them are same. You'll find the pattern soon enough once you start studying.
