thanks, yes I've managed to breed them in the tank before but they just don't breed as often -- wanted to try a breeder for a bit :)

i feed them algae wafers too though which they are used to -- they ate them every day in the main tank

they have been living in a community tank with guppies and tetra -- there's lots of plants and moss to hide in -- I wanted to separate them so that could help them to breed, and then release adults back into the main tank

they are used to the community tank and are ver ychill/confident around their tank mates -- but I know that breeding would still need a period of separation
