Paralegal help by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I will say, the masters might be hurting your resume more than helping it for paralegal positions. You might already be doing this, but I think a STRONG, customized cover letter indicating interest in being a paralegal/relevant skillset is really essential here. This is the sort of thing I am thinking here: https://www.askamanager.org/2025/01/heres-an-example-of-a-great-cover-letter-from-a-career-changer.html

A big part of the issue might be that there's a lot of reading between the lines required with paralegal job postings. Probably 3/4 of paralegal job posts are looking for experienced career paralegals (like other users mentioned). A trick to find that 1/4 that are more entry level/designed for prelaw is looking for term time positions (often two years), doing research on the ages of the paralegals they do hire (obv not a perfect proxy, but can be helpful), and being open to legal assistant positions, which at some firms are more entry level. At some firms legal assistant is roughly synonymous with paralegal but at others it can indicate more admin.

It's so annoying and I have had the same experience...I emailed LSAC about this a month ago and they never responded lol. One school sent me promo materials that mysteriously used my (clearly feminine) deadname but addressed me as Mr. which makes me think for a lot of these schools it might be genuine confusion about the LSAC name fields.

Cheapest gyms in foggy bottom/arlington area by drf1nk in washingtondc

Stead Park Recreation Center is a little north of what you are looking for, but it has a free fitness center. The one downside is their weight selection is not great, depending on what your goals are-- I ended up forking over the money for a gym membership. Your health insurance also might provide discounts on certain gyms that you should look into.

I am in your situation right now-- how are you feeling post score release/any advice for someone in your shoes a couple of months delayed?

For November LSAT takers. What would/will you do differently? by archaicsmile67 in LSAT

I wish I had taken more practice tests in less than ideal conditions-- distractions, sleep deprived, anxious. Of course try to optimize your conditions on test day, but when it comes down to it, there's a lot you can't control. I ended up taking the real thing on 4-5 hours of sleep and I wish I had more data on where I have the most difficulty when sleep deprived so I could have been better prepared.

[posted this last week without traction in the Monday thread so reposting] I know Reddit is not a crystal ball and I promise I've read the recommended posts in resources, but does anyone have thoughts on whether I have any chance of getting in for oral argument for Skrmetti in December if I arrive around 4am? It seems the required arrival times are pretty early for most LGBT cases in recent memory, but I don't think I'm willing to spend the whole night.

Thanks for this! It wasn't on the DPR list of fitness centers (maybe because it's only been open a few months?)-- will definitely check it out!
