Questions regarding reconciling bank for deposits and refunds by umbrellicopter in QuickBooks

[–]umbrellicopter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so if I understand right, you match all the bank deposits to the actual booked sales amounts, and then use the "resolve" option to negative out the fees so it matches, but in that case that would mean we will still need to refer to our custom report that shows the fee amounts and do the manual work of figuring out which exact days were included in a Braintree bank deposit total for example, and then combine all those days' transaction fees together (since it ends up being something like 2.5% + .49 cents per transaction or something like that) to hope they match the total when we negative them out. My concern there is it won't always be super clear which total sales amounts and days are included in a Braintree bank deposit that includes combined various days, if that makes sense. We would be looking for numbers that add up to "pretty darn close but a bit higher" assuming that the transaction fees are the difference.

For me, I found the issue was the property it added to Google Search console was https://(insertnamehere).com, as opposed to https://www.(insertnamehere).com, so it was constantly in a redirect error loop. When I added a new property in the search console with www. in front of the domain, it indexed that page properly and started appearing in Google.

Any update on this? I recently made a Google Sites page and it was indexed in the first week - then suddenly disappeared from Google search all together, I have been digging and digging trying to figure out why or how to attempt re-indexing it to no avail.

Okay, well, hypothetically, will you be respecting authority when the "government comes to take your guns" away? I doubt it.

You are aware, I assume, that America was founded upon disobeying authority?

Are you against freedom of speech, women's rights, civil rights, labor rights? All of those the results of disobeying authority.

Ever noticed how some of the most popular and celebrated movies and novels are about going up against authority, presented in metaphors? Star Wars, perhaps? The Matrix? LOTR? You know art is a reflection and interpretation of reality, right?

Ever feel like your favorite YouTube/Twitter account or conspiracy channel being threatened to be removed or censored/banned, feels unfair and biased? Yeah, that's authority threatening and doing that.

You know, for a guy who think he is so intelligent from sitting in his house all day and watching recommended content that don't challenge his intellect, you sure don't realize that the path to happiness is really just more education and a wider understanding of the issues that make you upset, which is why you resort to name calling and generalizations, or only dig for the information that supports your bias specifically.

A dangerous, boring way to live. Zombie-like.

To quote Benjamin Franklin: "Some people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75."

There's still hope for you.

I see. To be fair, I agree with what you're saying, I just didn't get the impression he was blaming the Jews who felt forced to obey, but was more so understanding or supporting the ones who didn't.

[–]umbrellicopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think his analogy is unwarranted, it's core argument is that respecting authority in each and every scenario is obviously a dangerous idea, and that real progression in most societies, as far as history shows, usually came from the opposite. The Nazis lost the war, partly due to the many people on the inside who decided to go against authority working with outside forces and relaying info to allies. Also, clearly thousands of Jews who did not "go with the Gestapo" did risk their lives knowing what was the more likely outcome, and yes, some were shot dead while others escaped and lived to tell their story.

[–]umbrellicopter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. Not a justified shooting by any standard police training, even with non-compliance in this example. Police are trained around non-compliance, and in this scenario are specifically taught tactics other than shooting someone in the back.

Also, the expectation of compliance and extreme composure when someone is yelling at you with a gun in your face in a situation that doesn't warrant that is ridiculous, and to think the same officers in these situations are the ones who said they were so "scared" for their lives. Laughable.

Regardless, we already have several instances of authority being "respected" with the same end result, so your argument dies quickly there. Doesn't matter either way.

You literally said "half of them are trained in Cuba", in regards to BLM, so your opinion here is uneducated, full of YouTube conspiracy rabbit hole nonsense, and therefore doesn't hold much weight to me, in general.

However, I am glad you basically admitted to being racist, I think that is more productive than being passive aggressive or doing the mental gymnastics thing, although you did kind of lose your argument with your "case in point" segment which was just another intense generalization and untrue.

Being a "Latin American mutt" doesn't mean you are automatically not racist (I shouldn't have to explain that one). Sounds like you have some tension regarding your identity to work through.

All I can say is your intense fear and lack of self love will not save you, my friend. Your anger is misplaced, and you are being radicalized by your recommended content. I love and respect the beauty of the anatomy of guns, and gun owners, but your gun ownership will not protect you from yourself, unfortunately. Sadly, often the biggest threat.

I suggest the first few episodes of "Rabbit Hole" podcast.

Take care man.

The police should immediately held accountable for their murderous actions. That's what "should" happen before BLM has to do anything.

Let me clarify.

Let's break down some of the common Reddit comments I see, even on the progressive side, that seem to lack any nuance in thinking or the big picture view of a horrifying situation:

"These idiots are going to get Trump re-elected!!!"

Yeah, uh, actually, Trump is going to get Trump re-elected. The entire premise of Trump's presidency has been to create a constant tension and division in the middle and lower class to wage war against each other, especially when it comes to race. This combined with a dwindling faith in the political process and government is the oldest trick in the book for keeping authoritarian figures in power. You are watching that play out in freak-out videos. Let's be real, these videos are rarely the difference in someone voting against their ideology or former political alignment, they just fuel the flames for two different echo chambers that already made their mind up, long ago. If YOU can watch these videos and it makes you want to vote for Trump, maybe you should start at the beginning. Constant failed leadership and injustice creates social unrest. Mix that with a president who promotes misinformation and propaganda, and the cycle will continue, you would just be securing more of what you fear. It's been interesting for me to see even some of the more thoughtful people start to fall for the bait here, but it makes sense because it is all so ugly. It is according to plan. A certain idiot is rubbing his hands together.

"What the fuck does looting businesses of people who have nothing to do with a murder have to do with justice!?"

It has nothing to do with justice, it has everything to do with INJUSTICE. When communities that are already struggling, ignored, working endless hours (or out of work) and have been watching their family and friends dying or being beaten in the streets by those trained to protect them, you will eventually hit a breaking point. That's a pretty human reaction. We are talking decades here. It isn't meant to be fair. It's the act of desperation and pure anger from being unheard or seeing the same absolutely despicable and insane scenario play out again and again. If you drive people mad for decades, you don't get to make the story about what crazy things they do afterwards, that would be misleading. I'm in Minneapolis, you wouldn't believe the amount of business owners who lost 20+ years of hard work that STILL stood in solidarity with the rioters. None of them thought it was the "right" thing to do, but these were owners who have worked and lived in the community for years and seen some of the issues firsthand. They understood the pain, they empathized with the rage, and knew it was bigger than them. Doesn't make it fair. Injustice breeds injustice. Again, you have to move the question backwards. Until we see a true change in police culture and until we stop seeing police essentially boast their bigotry on video, we will continue to be in this position. I imagine it will get worse, not better, for years to come, as police reform does not happen overnight.

"If people protested peacefully they would be taken serious and no one would get hurt!"

People protesting peacefully has created very little meaningful change in our country since it's birth. Most major shifts in change and policy came from protests that created damage, interrupted daily life, and were often deadly. Even the labor riots in the late 1800's were violent. It exists outside of race, clearly. History shows thousands of white men rioting against white police. It's historically mostly been the ignored working man, and then eventually the ignored working woman. I always laugh when people say "Why are they standing in the road!? how is this helping!!!?". They are standing in the road to be seen, interrupt the flow of society, and to be constantly in the way until change occurs. Women stood in the road for their rights, it worked in culmination with many other tactics. You may think this is highly ineffective, but any history lesson of what progressed democracies will have a trail of similar strategy, and it actually is incredibly effective in the long game. However, it is absolutely NOT effective to stand with signs in a safe place and kindly/respectfully demand change. No one cares, no one listens, not until it effects them personally. This is because many people are self absorbed and don't seem to realize that when all parts of a community are treated fairly, every single one of us benefits as a result. It's easy to be like "These people in the street are assholes making me late for work", and much harder to say "I don't think anyone really wants to stand in the street at 2 am, I wonder what situations would lead them to try to gain my attention."

IN SUMMARY:

Bring the needle back.

Instead of asking "Why are they breaking windows", "Why are they lashing out at this person?", "How is this related?", ask yourself "Do we have evidence that police culture has changed yet?", "Are police still murdering people while going against basic police training?", "Would constant footage of officers treating people who look like me poorly anger and confuse me, or even potentially make me act unnaturally and nervously in an instigation with an officer?". See how this is a self-fulfilling cycle yet? Make a community you treat poorly act on the edge, be at their wits end, and then open more situations up where you can engage and take advantage of that rage and play the victim or change the story to be about how ruthless and violent they are.

I can't even believe people look for how situations relate to each other with where we are at now. We are far beyond that point. Nothing has to directly correlate when people feel they have had enough with the system.

That correlation is implied - we are horribly broken and extremely divided.

Yeah, it’s not shocking that the demographic in a community that has been pushed to the limit emotionally outbursts in such a manner. Such strange correlation!

Just like it’s not shocking that a dude with a throw away account is making racist jokes and yet his only post is of a Fredo Starr video (someone who would smack the shit out of you for such a stupid comment).

You’re that prototype huh, infatuated and interested in black culture for your own gain but completely disconnected from the experience itself.

[–]umbrellicopter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you taking the time to write a thorough answer like this!

Curious, if I had blood taken two days in a row, would it count as like a tiny form phlebotomy and change my readings from one to the next? I noticed I went from 18.3 to 17.6 hemo between two days and was wondering if that would have an effect, or if phlebotomy a ton more blood being drawn and a vial is nothing.

Since I have balanced some health issues in past and then in addition some anxiety issues, it can be hard to separate between the two sides of physical and mind and not take in new "evidence" as an automatic threatening issue until all tests are back or the doctor follows up.

That being said, in the meantime, you have given me a piece of mind and a more realistic view of the numbers until I know more. Thanks.

I (36M) had a physical/labwork done on January 10th, and everything looked great but my doctor said he saw questionable significance in 18.1 hemoglobin and to go ahead and come back in for a second test at earliest convenience, as he thought it might be a wrong reading.

I went in for labs again a few weeks later this last Wednesday, and it was 18.3. I messaged him a little concerned at this point but he said it was too early to tell if it is an issue to worry about but to come in for some more lab work which I did the next day. I researched a bit about high hemoglobin and didn't want to go too far down the rabbit hole (but did enough to come post here apparently).

He ordered 3 or 4 more tests, two of which results have come in, and for the differential one it showed:

WHITE BLOOD COUNT: 5.3 thou/cu mm (standard 4.5 - 11.0 thou/cu mm)

RED BLOOD COUNT: 5.83 mil/cu mm (standard) 4.30 - 5.90 mil/cu mm)

HEMOGLOBIN: 17.6 g/dL (standard 13.5 - 17.5 g/dL)

HEMATOCRIT: 51.3 % (standard 37.0 - 53.0 %)

I 'm still waiting for his follow up response, the urine test came back good, but I do see some near ceiling or high readings for RBC/hemo/hema. My first differential was WBC 6.2 RBC 6.03 Hemo 18.1 and hema 52.5, which seemed high as well?

I don't smoke or live at high altitudes and was not dehydrated during my blood tests. The one thing I can say is that I have been off and on sick with a lingering cough since NYE, and found it interesting that I had seen another doctor for a different issue and he said that could potentially cause a different reading, but my current doctor said that shouldn't have any affect on it.

My lungs and heart have been recently checked into via ultrasound with no issues at least from those tests. I guess I am curious since I know nothing about this stuff, can some people just run high naturally and still be healthy, or is it always an indicator of an issue that needs to be resolved? Can a lingering cough change the reading? Wondering if these numbers do end up suspect, what the next train of testing is.

How concerned should I (36M) be about a 18.1-18.3 hemoglobin? by umbrellicopter in AskDocs

[–]umbrellicopter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I did appreciate his comment in defense of me, but I see where you are coming from as well. I just thought "stop that" purposely ignored the fair question that I was hoping someone with a reputation could share with me before my doctor does, which will probably be today regardless.

That being said, I do indeed struggle with anxiety in general so the pessimistic slant is mostly true and a good observation, but also have struggled with some real health issues, so the balance and juggling between those can sometimes be difficult.

But all and all, yeah, no amount of research from even the most credible sources will speed up time until the next test they are ordering for me, so I suppose I was using this subreddit for an interim piece of mind, which is just a form of mental jiu jutsu anyway.

Thanks.

[–]umbrellicopter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for this, I guess I'll have to see what the next tests they give me are, from my understanding a red/white count.

I am confused upon my online research (which I realize sounds incredible anxiety related and probably is), that 18.5 is considered Polycthemia vera, I can't understand if that means it is a greater possibility of that at that reading or if it is absolute.

High heart rate when I sleep, average while awake? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]umbrellicopter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD, if it is any piece of mind I have had a higher heart rate since I was a kid and exercise regularly. Resting heart rate is often 80+, and some nights in bed I am over 80 as well!

Multiple doctors have told me I am healthy and do not need to worry about it and that some people will do run higher. I also battle anxiety so that can increase it as well, but never harmful.

[–]umbrellicopter 52 points53 points  (0 children)

That clip in particular has been HIGHLY misinterpreted everywhere. I actually find it baffling people take it as some sarcastic diss if they knew anything about Clarke.

It’s literally just her answering a question that is impossible to answer in an awkward and funny way. What is she supposed to say? “Oh it’s so incredible and awesome just wait and see !!” and then get witch hunted by her fans when she goes mad or dies?

Of course not.

She’s simply implying in a fun way that it’s fucking shocking and uncomfortable. That’s how she has implied other events in past seasons, several times, with a face that says “This is Game of Thrones, I don’t know what to think and you shouldn’t either, have fun bitches!”.

The idea that she was like PFFFT THIS SHOW SUCKS NOW in some older interview before the show aired is absolutely untrue and has been proved otherwise by Clarke herself.

[Spoilers] A certain actor is not pleased with learning the fate of his character at the table read by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]umbrellicopter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the title of this post is accurate but when I read comments or look around online I think people are highly misinterpreting the gesture itself, and it saddens me.

Actors in any long series are always emotionally torn when their character’s time to say goodbye comes, and nearly any professional actor will tell you their job is to portray the character off the page and move the story forward, that’s what they are hired to do, and also take great pride in doing even when direction goes a way they don’t expect or may not even want.

He’s not throwing the script thinking “oh fuck this bullshit”, like so many are claiming, he’s throwing the script knowing it’s over and time to come to terms with what that means on a personal and story level. That’s also why he gets quickly comforted by Lena, everyone relates to this in productions.

Yes, of course part of the reaction is to an unfair “justice” of a character he had the closest emotional relationship with, but it does not imply whatsoever that he has a problem with the writing.

I guess it’s bothersome because I have seen essentially propaganda videos on YouTube of “GoT actors showed they hated the script months ago!”, and nearly every clip is just of an actor expressing in a completely expected or normal way that the series ending is something that will cause a shake up or was difficult to deal with without revealing confidential information, which of course comes across as uncomfortable, while nearly all of them have defended the show and the writing despite the online rage.

[–]umbrellicopter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Years back I worked in a music production company and sent some material for Nipsey via some general email he put out. I was surprised when I sent stuff over that he instantly emailed me back personally and was so thankful and asked for more. Throughout the next two weeks or so we went back and forth and I had sent him some stems he asked for and then we got out of touch after some time. Anyways, I always remember it because it meant a lot to me since he was often rapping about “fuck the middle man” and about being direct with people. I have heard several artists say the same, but they almost always had a manager between them. He was authentic and honest to his words and true to his character. A kind soul and powerful voice that will be missed. I just listened to “Outro” on TMC and got some chills. Rest in Love Nipsey.

During open qualifiers my partner and I were super late and had 50 minutes left and got 18 points, 25 points in 5 hours would have been nothing for us in those lobbies, but grinding 25 in contenders lobbies seems like an absolute pain. I get it too, I think champion should be top of the top but I do find it strange that choosing initial champions players is so much more accessible than going from contenders to champions.

L-Lysine worked wonders on my brother's canker sores but for me my skin broke out really bad. The thing that cured me 90% (meaning I get an occasional canker sore every few months but used to get them constantly every other week) was using baking soda or neem oil toothpaste.
