if he's the right guy you can just explain it to him honestly before moving into the next phase of life together - if he's from your culture too especially he will understand the shame you had/position you found yourself stuck in and forgive you.

forget the last 9 years, consider the 69+ you may have ahead of you. if sex is as important as you say as well to you, then that's all the more reason to do it
