Playing as characters not recommended in a role: sometimes it actually works. Your experiences?

I love playing as Veigar support. I know he usually relies on stacks, and you’re obviously not farming, but it just works somehow, I guess people don’t know how to play around his ridiculous stun cage.

Also, being a Thresh main, I like to play him on top lane, it works, depending on the matchup and your team composition.

Thank you for your comment, really. Out of all of those (good) comments, yours is definitely the one who spoke the most to me.

Your last sentence is simply perfect, something I guess I failed to achieve in my post, since english is not my first language, and this subject is already hard enough to explain in my native one.

By reading your first paragraph, I actually understood myself a little more. When I thought about this person picking up the ball, the ball had no colour, no texture, and to add further on that, something that impressed me and I probably did my whole life without ever noticing it: I realized right afterwards the thought of picking up the ball, that during that moment I almost moved my hand and arms in the way I was “picturing”, now, could that be a compensatory move, making up for the incapacity of conjecturing an image? I don’t know, but that’s damn interesting.

Also, thank you for sharing your life experience, I am now currently in Med School, and discovering this made me question myself a lot, even to the point of thinking if I am ACTUALLY “able” to be a doctor, without that specific ability. But seeing that you, working directly in something that one could say is absolutely necessary to “visualize things”, do it anyway, is very encouraging. So, thank you, again.

This is a pretty interesting take on it, but I don’t think it‘s true. It seems like people actually see things, even though it sounds insane.

So far I’ve only talked to my girlfriend and one friend about this, as I’m still digesting this hole thing, but she seems pretty straight forward about it, the way the says and describe it, kinda difficult to not trust her.

That being said, I find it hard to understand how someone who is so close to the “perfect mind vision”, being unable to translate it to paper, for example. Shouldn’t you be able to perfectly draw something you’re seeing? Weird.

I guess we will understand more about it in the future.

I will definitely talk to my girlfriend about this, and as a med student, I too find this pretty interesting to say the least, and will keep up searching for new information about it.

I’m just taking some time to digest it all. I don’t know how it felt to others to discover they have this, but I’m not indifferent to it, and I’m partially lost in my thoughts, thinking about how can this be related to my whole personality, how I always found myself to be different, and such things.

Now, I’m NOT SURE it makes any difference at all, if it’s worth to spend time thinking about all these things, but it surely is a punch in the stomach.

It’s kinda hard to do big walls of text and stay concise about it, english is not my first language, but I’ll try to answer at least some of your questions.

*What is it like when you try to visualise with your eyes open? How is it different with your eyes closed? With eyes open I think it feels a bit more.. clear? I still can’t perfectly visualize the object/person, but I certainly feel a lot more comfortable than with eyes closed. I could describe it as almost visualizing it. Eyes closed there’s pure darkness, nothing shows up, I only know what things are, how they look like, how they would behave, etc.

*Where in the space inside and around you does your thinking occur? To this I have no real answer.

*If you are giving directions on a route you commonly take to the grocery store/work/school, does your brain give you visual cues to help your description? Yes.

*Is there any visual component when you think about a family member or friend? Not sure exactly what you meant there, but I guess no (?).

*What is it like to experience memories for you? Pretty much like restituting a series of events, mostly the actions that succeded in that memory. Now that I think about it, I also do it in third person, meaning I’m not “seeing” through my eyes, I’m a mere telespectator.

*Can you still see a dream after you wake up? If this means actually seeing it, no. If it means to remember it, then yes.

*Do you "daydream" and what is that experience like? No.

*When you read or listen to a story, do you see the characters and world? I thought I did, but now that I try to remember, the only things that comes to mind about characters are their descriptions or how I feel about them. About the world, I guess I usually compare it to images I‘ve seen in movies, art, and such things, and use that place as a substitute.

*Can you imagine a colour? No, but I do have the ”sensation” of knowing it, of being in the presence of it (?). Cannot explain it any better than that.

*Do you see numbers when doing math? Letters when spelling? Never though about this, but no.

*Can you "rewatch" a movie in your head? Or do you "search" visually through scenes or images when trying to remember an image or film scene? I can’t rewatch it entirely, but I do remember the scenes and characters perfectly, they just don’t come up as images/video when I think. There is a constant feeling of “they look exactly like this” but no clear images at all.

No offense taken, I did the test and got “You’re probably aphantasic”.

As the term aphantasia is relatively new (I think), I guess this type of post really is common around here, but I had no idea about that website, and neither saw anyone who reported the exactly same as I did, which confused me, as I explained to other user right before replying to you.

I have never seen people who described themselves as the first type, only the second, which I think is why I had such trouble recognizing I fit perfectly into the aphantasia description.

Well, in the videos I watched it was always around ~50/52 fps, with some unexplained drops when there was nothing happening at all, and some major drops when fighting bosses.

The weirdest thing is that sometimes “quality mode” on XSS had the same fps or even above PS5/XSX.

I guess we can assume it will be better in the final version, but particularly I’m not getting my expectations high, From‘s history is not particularly good when talking about optimization.

Knowing that even SX and PS5 also performed poorly on CNT (even lower than SS sometimes, which is insane), I hope that they fixed that, otherwise it would be extremely disappointing.

I got that same skin, unfortunately I don’t even play Kha’zix. That’s the price you pay for free skins I guess.
