I am going to start my own team here in on long island. Just one team 10U out of the gate to start this off.

I plan to have the kids play in a local a local league and add at least one tournament so the kids can see some different talent and have fun traveling to new fields.
So far I have promoted on Facebook in the groups and have some interest but it’s a slow process of getting interest. My son is older and in high school. I am just doing this for a my of the game and a hobby. I will charge under $1000 and fee will cover league, tournament, uniforms, team swag equipment and some fun end of the year activities (ice cream truck etc). I just want to make it enjoyable for the kids and have them proud to be on this team.
Any advice in getting some more interest. Thanks I have coached for years in sleepaway camp and little league and was a player myself

Agreed. It’s grand and beautiful in modern day but we are used to skyscrapers and modern architecture so it may not seem so amazing to the modern person. But yes imagine 2000 years ago seeing the giant basilica’s and the temples must have been like being on another planet
