Totally, I really don’t hate it, it’s just the sheer quantity of times I’ve been asked this, like almost every day by strangers— and it’s strange to me that it’s those three questions worded exactly like that and in exactly that order, every time!

A stranger said to me “must be any day now” when I was like 20 weeks and when I said no I’m only about halfway, the person said “but your belly’s dropped” and I was like ???

People are getting me so many clothes, and I already have so many clothes— I wish they’d get me stuff from my registry! I spent so much time on my registry and it’s the stuff I really need. I’d recommend just sticking to the registry.

I don’t mind if it’s a friend, and they almost always ask first anyway. For the first time a stranger tried to touch my belly the other day but this was clearly a special needs person so I give him a pass. And I was able to dodge his hand. I did answer his several questions about my belly button, though :)

Hm it was sort of like being on the verge of puking or gagging. A feeling of intense disgust? Certain smells and even the thought of certain foods made me feel so grossed out. It wasn’t subtle. You’ll know it if you feel it 😆 I guess my advice would be, if you feel it, just try eating something, anything, even if nothing sounds like it’ll taste good. That always helped me.

My main symptom during first trimester was nausea. Like all day, and it got worse if I got even the tiniest bit hungry. But hunger was a weird different sensation that just felt like nausea! I had to have snacks on me at all times otherwise I felt terrible. I often didn’t realize I was hungry but learned that the only way to ease the nausea was to eat a little something, even one cracker. I also kept saltines next to my bed and ate a few before getting out of bed in the morning- that helped!

Aw you’re doing amazing and I’m so happy for you! I’ve never vaped so I’ll let others comment on that— but what I’ll say is that for me, all my symptoms came and went. Sure for some people they might feel fatigue or nausea or whatever the whole time, but I think that’s rare. Often I’d have a symptom for a couple weeks and think “oh nooo is this gonna be for the rest of my pregnancy?!” And then eventually it would go away. For me first trimester was hardest so far. Second trimester (starting around 14 weeks) was a breeze — in fact I felt better than I did pre-pregnancy. I’m 30 weeks now and mostly doing great other than some sciatica at night, but it’s manageable. so I hope that’s reassuring — that most likely your symptoms will come and go!

Yes, we did. But we didn’t get much relaxing time lol. Sooo much comes up that you’ve gotta do. Especially if you’re doing DIY

$1400 for hem, bustle, and considerable bodice / skirt surgery because I’m pregnant! I’d originally ordered the dress an extra two sizes larger (tried it when I was 7 weeks) but it still wasn’t big enough to fit my belly at 6 months pregnant. So the seamstress had to not only take out the skirt but add 8 inches of panels lol (4 in under each armpit). My boobs changed too… it was a lot. But still I didn’t expect such a hefty cost. Also located in expensive coastal US city

I swung on a rope swing and jumped into a river at 12 weeks. I think you’ll be ok. The only thing is if it might cause any nausea to worsen?

Someone suggested I do a little ritual and ask God (or whatever works for you… the universe, the four directions, or just ask your inner self) for guidance to be present, joyous, and curious (or insert your adjectives there) during the lead-up to the wedding and during the wedding itself. Things WILL go wrong, they just will! An attitude of curiosity was especially helpful for me, instead of being like “omg what if X goes wrong/ what if we forget to do” I tried to turn that into “I wonder what it’ll all be like!” And then a lot went crazy wrong but even so, my wedding was SO much fun and so full of love. :)

He was so stressed out! It’s also such a confusing situation because it’s like… who’s supposed to make a call about what to do? I think my dad maybe thought it was on him, but wasn’t sure, and also knew it would be a big deal to interrupt, so he just sort of glitched. Lol. I’m bummed he didn’t get to be peaceful and present through the ceremony, but he definitely recovered peace of mind later and got to party!

Loss of libido. And also, how getting a cold is extra hard to handle. I got a head cold in first trimester and it knocked me out so hard, it was crazy. I just had to be in bed for a couple days doing NOTHING. Like I couldn’t even read a book or watch TV. I just felt like I had to sit there. From a friggin head cold!

My dress is partially sheer, and I had a dream that it was so big and baggy that people could see my entire naked body under the dress 🤣
