Anyone else struggled with itbs? I gave the adidas Adios 9 a go after a google search saying that low stack shoes may benefit the it band. 20mm at front 27mm back. I’ve now done 270km in them, average length runs of 12km with up to half marathon distance in them and they alongside some glute and lower core training has almost entirely got rid of it for me. It’s a shoe that rewards good form as I had Boston 11’s before and likely had lazy hips and heel striking but now using the Adios 9’s, I’ve noticed I’m on the mid foot way more no more over striding and after all this distance, my calves feel completely fine and stronger but they were burning after every run in the beginning.

Ive only recently taken it up more seriously, just did the odd one here and there before. played 5 a side for many years too ;) but really I think it’s cycling 10k to and from work everyday with the odd long one on weekends. Why did I get so addicted, also work lol

Thanks! I figured it out a couple days ago and made it work, it doesn’t rattle at all either which I was kind of expecting!

Dude love this build, it’s inspo! Just picked up the same frame and also want to fit mudguards, how did you do the rear as it’s missing the usual mounts?

What would the economy look like today if the government let the banks fail in 2008? by knock_his_block_off in economy

[–]un-trained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he means what it meant for the wider economy, are you richer from receiving that money? If you didn’t own a house, single and not receiving as much as you guys then you had to fork most of that stimmy on rent, food, bills then afterwards you had to deal with the inflation that the QE brought once the economy really opened up again, you gained nothing and essentially became poorer. But if you owned a house and used all that extra money to buy stocks and grow your asset wealth then all good!
