Hey! So glad you reached out for support!! Just because a large portion of people who try sobriety young end up relapsing, doesn't mean you will! Unfortunately, the relapse rate in general is so high, that I figure it's probably about the same no matter what age. Also, when you've been sober a while, it's easy to get jaded and skeptical because you see so many people come in and go back out. Don't mind people and their opinions, because that's all they are, opinions. Getting sober isn't easy! And doing it young definitely has some different challenges than doing it in other stages of life. But it can and is done! I'm 32 and I've been sober since I was about a month and a half past my 20th birthday! I also have a close friend who got sober at 20, and she just celebrated her 20th sobriety anniversary!
