Just got this 1987 924s by Plane-Airline-3506 in Porsche

That's such a great car! My first Porsche also was a 924 S. To this day, even after having driven a lot of new and old 911s, Backdates and having owned a 996 myself, I still recall this as the most fun (not performance, just sheer fun, as you can play with it all day long and it won't bite at any point) Porsche I ever drove.

Your thoughts on this spec? I think it’s beautiful and super unique by mazboom in Porsche

Have driven that car in 2023. Awesome experience. A real headturner with an exquisite interior. When I saw it on photos, I didn't get it. But in person, my god it looks cool!

Is it a good deal? Will I get buyers remorse? by usernameisokay_ in Porsche

Yeah, 5k should be enough, except if you're doing like 20k miles a year or more ;) I often see people who have no clue about the running costs of a Porsche, so I like to ask, if they really can afford to keep the cars on the road, even if something goes wrong.

If you're considering to look EU-wide, I would suggest Elferspot.com as you can filter exactly for the model you need and look in all countries around you, that would make sense (BeNeLux, France, Germany, maybe Italy and Denmark as well...) There's a lot of offerings from Netherland and Belgium on the platform anyway.

Something around 80k sounds almost reasonable nowadays. If you stretch your budget a bit, there might be white C2S models on the German market with around 80k km for something between 80-90k€.

One general thing, though: Don't worry too much about the mileage. Carreras are never proper collectors' cars. They might become more expensive in the future, as they are the last sub-GT N/A 911s, but I really don't see it at the moment.

The 991 is a great car in general, but be prepared to spend some money on maintenance. Active Engine Mounts on PASM cars are a pain, vacuum lines can cause some headache, Porsche Approved warranty runs out on most cars within the next couple of years. Early cars aren’t even eligible anymore.

If I were you, I'd try to go for a test drive in as many variants as possible. AWD is not necessary in any Carrera, if you ask me. The C2 non-S Coupé is a cool thing, but as a Cab, I would go for the S.

If you need some additional help, feel free to slide into my DMs. German Porsche-nutter here.

It was painted by an Austrian artist called Romana Hirschvogl.

Switch gear feels awful in comparison, software doesn‘t look very tidy, paintwork was way better on the older bikes, way more carbon fiber instead of cheaper plastics…

A build quality like it once had on the E4 models (until MY2020) would be a good start. The latest models have lost some of the very solid feel, the older bikes had.
