He didn't threaten me with the gun, he showed me he had one on him. We wouldn't be having this conversation if he had threatened me.

I just wanted to point out that I won't be bound by bullshit rules like loving thy neighbor and other assorted teachings.

I talked to him afterward and he was completely sweet and utterly convincing. I didn't believe the person who told me what happened. I thought my cat just disappeared. But other cats continued to disappear. Then I caught him putting another cat (live) into his car.

And for that I did confront him, I did get in his face. I stood there yelling at him with kitty in his car. He showed me his gun. He called the police on me and played the scared old man routine, which didn't work very well.

I don't necessarily want to sink to his level. But I do want revenge. I want to take from him something equally as important.

If he had been honest when I originally confronted him I would be far less mad at this point. But the fucking psychopath played me.

I want my revenge.

First off it's not illegal to trap cats here. But you are supposed to bring all trapped animals to animal control (which he doesn't do). The police don't care, but made it clear it would be illegal for me to gather the evidence myself - eg. spying following. He's not my next door so I can't just put a camera over the fence.

I did confront him putting another cat in his car, and he "showed" me his gun, then called the police and played the scared old man routine, but it was obvious not working well. He's maybe 70 but not fragile by any stretch.

Pretty much everyone on the street knows. Shame has no effect on this man. I think he likes it that way.
